- marbury is not a leader
- marbury is a shoot/me first player
- crawford doesn't play defense
- crawford is a shot jock
- Q launches 3's
- tim is fugazy
- sweets is undersized
- ariza is too raw
- mo taylor doesn't play defense
- mo taylor doesn't rebound
- malik rose is undersized
- jerome james is a fat bastard
- jerome james doesn't rebound
- jerome james is foul prone
- channing frye, nate rob, david lee are all question marks

well, for some of these players, they are on a new team. for ALL of these players, they are brand new to larry brown. do we see what the veterans have been their entire career and assume they continue in the same way? will they continue to be awful defenders and in some cases not live up to their potential?

so many questions with our players.
if only steph did this, if only tim did that...just too many "ifs".

well, i for one, and prepared to give this ENTIRE roster a clean slate for the 05/06 season. we have probably the BEST coach in the nba right now. he will implement a style of play and he will maximize the players strongest abilities. that is what he's known for. i think there will be an adjustment period here but i am prepared to let all the questions and doubts fall by the waistside and begin anew. is it the kool-aid? i don't know. is it b/c i'm paying another $1760 on season tix? i don't know. but i'm ready to give them a clean slate. so to me, the knicks 05/06 is the official start of the new and improved new york knickerbockers.

you will now return to your regularly scheduled program...

I love the Knicks far to much, and as a result I'm looking for every guy to do something special when I'm watching the games. The only 2 guys I couldnt really root for (after a couple years) were Anderson and Eisley, who were like the living embodiment of all things bad in Knick land. Kurt, Nazy, Deke, Houston, Spree, Chaney, Lenny, whoever whenever, when I watch I'm looking for these guys to make something happen. If the other team is better then lets hit some crazy shots and steal one, I dont care, just find a way.

I agree about LB and I even think Herb is a good student. The Knicks dodnt play well under Herb, but they didnt quit either.

Now when I am arguing whats best for the team its a different story. You have to be objective. Like Briggs loves to say "checks and balances"

couldn't root for eisley and van horn

i like the attitude of calling it like we see it this year. i do hope the young guys get playing time, which means i wouldn't mind if some veterans underperform, but i'm hopeful a lot of our guys wil show us something new this year.

section 406, row C - midcourt - right above the TV cameras.
good enough tix for me. comes out to $40/ticket including 3 pre-season games. of course, no surcharges or anything like that - a flat rate and the perks of being a ticket holder. which include the illustrious q&a sessions, some meet and greets, as well as a knicks/hawks ticket in april after the team is 20 games under .500.

but if you can afford the $$$'s, and you live closeby, then i would recommend it. it's cool and once you get in, and hopefully when they start winning, then you have a valuable investment on your hands (i.e. selling the tickets).

it's quite possible but i think after last season, i've learned my lesson on placing expectations on a team when you have no clue if they can meet them.
