In an interview airing tonight on ESPN, Shaquille O'Neal indicated that Erick Dampier should play in the WNBA.
It was difficult to decipher exactly what Shaq said to Stephen A. Smith, but he implied that Dampier should play for the Monarchs and not the Mavericks, and that he said ''WNBA, not the NBA,'' when referring to Dampier. Dampier has caught a log of heat since proclaiming himself the second best center in the NBA last year, and we're not sure he's even in the second best 10 centers in the league.

Damp had Dirk calling him out....well I should say cursing him out in a nationally televised playoff game. That sounds like a hoar to me because Dirk needs someone to get after him about his defense.

Damp is so similiar to Knick James it's not even funny. Damp has alot of really nasty moves and can really mix it up on the boards and on defense.....he just doesn't have the drive to do it. Difference is Damp is in better physical condition than Knick James. After saying that Knick James has more fire ,desire and actually plays well aside from hacking everyone but the referees!!! Seattle never gave him a chance to do much anyway. Hopefully he can change that in NY.

He was only offering the MLE, though. Damps is an adequate role player for the MLE. A lot of MLE players put up worse #s than him. Not many $73 mil players put up worse than he does, though!

IIRC, he tried to arrange a sign and trade in order to give him the big bucks that Dampier wanted to steal.
