my pick - jamal crawford.

i think by the end of the season, we will be looking at possibly a top 7 PG in the league.

jamal...with a slight possibility of Ariza going bonkers and posting a couple of triple doubles

I agree with the ariza prediction... he may not have prince's length or wingspan but he has everything else to become a lockdown LB type player. However, I don't think ariza's development will be too evident on the bball court. I don't think he will get much time this season. I have a feeling that crawford will be one of the players who will have a "transition period" where he adjusts to how LB coaches. Remember all those times this past season when he acted like he was clueless as to why he was pulled from games after jacking up ill-advised shots? That's gotta go. And I'm pretty sure it won't go in the blink of an eye.

forget the "LB" type of player phrase - he's adapted to all different type of players so i don't like that phrase.

ariza may have to fight for minutes this year - which is OK b/c he's only 20. if everyone is expecting tim to have a good year, and with the addition of Q, ariza's minutes will be somewhere in the 15 range. so his time may not come for another year or so.

I think Ariza will get plenty of minutes, if for no other reason than Tim Thomas. If Tim Thomas keeps on being Tim Thomas, LB will sit him and Ariza will get many more minutes.

I think Ariza has star potential but he may not become a bonafide star for another year or two.

I don't think Ariza is much like Tayshaun Prince. Ariza is a more explosive athlete. Nobody has a body like Prince's. That is why he is a defensive ace. Prince was a good shooter since Kentucky. Ariza still needs to develop his shot. If Ariza did do that over the summer he should play more than Thomas, because he does most everything else better.

JC will either realize his potential under Brown or roll up into fetal position.

Q, I believe is the closest to the "LB type" (There I used it!) he is very tough and he will do what the coach asks, that is what I have taken from watching Q on 2 different teams.

Why hasn't anybody mentioned Marbury? Maybe he stands to gain the most from Brown.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Sweetney, if is he is in any kind of physical shape. He is their best post up player, and with some coaching he has the bulk to guard the post as well.
