this is my sleeper pick to come out of the east (if you can call them a sleeper)

still not a fan of tinsley and can't see how he would be the leader of a finals team - but maybe that's where sarunas comes in?

After the way they played last year in the playoffs, is there any doubt theyre the favorites in the East.

I don't care about Miami. They're good, yes. They have more talent on that team than anyone else, but Indy has more heart than any team I've seen in awhile (except for a lowly team in 1999, I forgot who they were though....can anyone remind me?)...
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Indy is good on paper, but the truth is that Artest will find a way to mess things up...They will not go pass the second round..

they are cutting payroll and furthermore, they picked up Sarunas for that role.

As long as O'Neal remains healthy they can win it all.

sleeper? once they got granger and got back artest they're one of the favorites. not even including their other moves.
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

you're right, they're not a sleeper but pretty much everyone has miami or detroit going to the finals - not indiana.

I think Sarunas has proven to be a good player, and he sure looks like he can play in the NBA as a shooter. He is a specialist but I don't see that he will be much more than that.

The Olympics and the Spanish league are not the night in night out NBA. I see Sarunas as a part time player. Who's spot is he going to take? I don't even see him beating out Fred Jones. He is really there to take James' Jones' spot as three point man.

On the other hand, I understand he is considered to be the best guard in Europe. Ginobli was considered the best PLAYER in europe, as have the likes of Drazen Petrovic, Vlade Divac, Sarunas Marcilonous (Spelling?), Arvydas Sabonis. I have noticed that most of these "Best in Europe" guys tend to be pretty good players. Of course the guy the Knicks were supposed to get recently was "The best guard in Europe" and he hasn't played a day in the NBA.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

not a bad idea at all Jazz. Payton would be the Winning Veteran type player I think that could push Miami for their money.
