It's hard to say, but if I'm a betting man I would say ariza, or TT.
If ariza can learn some consistancy from 20 ft, he would be consider an up incoming star, and not just raw talant. If TT can play for the entire season with some focusness, he's unstoppable.

These two are the only two players who have the intangibles you need to keep defense's off balance, and can guard at least 3 positions. If these 2 step up the knicks will be a pleasent surprise to everyone.

First off, I don't trust TT. If he has a big season, I'm pretty sure it's b/c of his contract and we can't take that bait. No way no how. So therefore, I just don't see the sense in giving him extra minutes. I'd rather see ARIZA and Lee get those minutes.

Also, you're right about Ariza. Upcoming all star? I don't know. I think he needs a little bit more than a 20 ft J to sell that to me. A 16 and 7 player though? I think that's entirely possible.

I'll avoid the popular suggestions and predict the difference maker to be someone everyone else is sleeping on- Big Game James.

IMO Larry Brown will have an impact on him that no one will expect.
I hope all our players see improvement, though.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Only if they can show and prove, this isn't the NBDL, I have no interest in watching rookies get better, if they play well then the deserve more minutes. TT is better then ariza and Q, and is a more proven all around player. If by march things aren't looking playoff bound then yes, play the younger players for 48 minutes for all i care.

Ariza has a camby like jump shot that needs serious help, nobody guards beyond 10 ft, and if we can capitalize off of that, then hell yeah... he needs to get that togther just like prince. There games are so similar, only prince can knock down the open 23ftr in a heart beat.

IMO Larry Brown will have an impact on him that no one will expect.

This is true, but Mcguire maybe just as a effective if not more, even herb. My gut feeling about james leaves me to belive he will end up like Nazy. At times he will look like a bonifide center, and others more like CBA Talant.

This is a good point. Difference maker doesnt mean best player and I can definitely see JJ be the difference maker.

Oh yeah, Aguirre working w/the bigs will help too. As far as the Nazr comparison, I think James is a less laid back than Nazr.

I
have no interest in watching rookies get better,

why not? this is how franchises get better, not by waiting for retread, uninspiring players like TT eat up minutes, because we HOPE he will finally come around after 9 years.... I much rather watch ariza, lee, nate, jamal, frye and Q develop. their development is crucial to our future, not TT eating up minutes to earn him another fat contract...

Allan Houstan!

If he can play, it would be nice! Earn that Banner!

But his retired contract traded can lead to Kevin Garnett!

Its out there! I Know!

I agree, and I think he will be better than a lot of people think. I can just think back to his days with the clipps, he was really comming into his own. I like him a lot and I think he will be a featured player on offense for the knicks...

I think the fact that we have so many players that can legitmately come up big is reason for hope this season. If any two of the following play above their heads, we are set:

Frye
Game
Q
TT
Fat @$$ Sweets

Basically we need SF-C to be solid

I can't wait to watch the change of pace that the bench is going to provide when they check in games and do the run & gun thing.

I think a lot of people are sleeping on Channing Frye. IMO, I think he could average over 10 ppg off the bench (if given the time off course) where he will be the prime scorer together with either Q or Crawford. Plus, he would provide some defense for the 32 minutes that Big Game is on the bench every night.
Some men see things as they are and ask why. I dream things that never were and ask why not?
