I know, I am crazy, but truth is that Miami may not be as good as they were last season; at least I am hoping. We have a bunch of new players also, but above all, we have a hell of a coach in LB. I expect our frontline to be a little better, and our backcourt to be a little more defense oriented with the addition of Q. As for Miami, they traded one of their court leaders in E. Jones and one of the best 3 point shooter in D. Jones. I don't know if the players they brought in will fit the style of basketball that Riley wants. None of those players are defensive minded.

I still believe that we have a chance to eliminate Miami....

I thought Wade showed really really good judgemnt with the ball in his hands. NOw the ball's gonna be in JThrill's hands a lot and i'm not sure that's going to make the team better. Thrill has certainly calmed his game down a ton in recent years and cut down on the TO's, but thsere's still a major change in the whole dynamic of the team now.

But the biggest issue of course is Shaq's age and health. Were last year's injuries an aberration or the first sign in his game coming down a very big notch?

In the short run, Losing KT does hurt our defense. Sorry, thats reality. Can big game fill that gap?

Eliminate Miami? That assumes we in the playoffs to begin with.

I think was stack up pretty well against Miami. We can a throw a fastball at Shaq with Big Game James and then throw a changeup with Rose. Wade will be covered by Ariza. Employee #8 will not make a diff and will be bitching when Haslem keeps taking his minutes. Jason Williams is the joker in this group. Will he be the shoot-em-up all style no substance player from Sac or the leader that Hubie has created in Memphis?

JWill might have had the best assist to TO ratio in the league last year. He doesnt take bad shots anymore either. He does a great job running an offense and has matured a ton, I watched him play a lot of games last year. He also plays good team defense. He gets some steals and a lot of deflections and such. He threw a ton of passes to Gasol that Pau couldnt finish on, but will be nothing but and1s with Shaq.

I think the bigger xfactor is Walker and how he fits. I think getting JW to team up to next to Wade was one of the offseason's best moves by any team

Im going with LB on saying we gonna stink for a while until it comes together.

I think Miami if well coached (if the players allow it) can be the "it" team in the east!

Not to offend anyone, but our enthusiasm grows each day based on a paper roster and no intangable facts. Now thta Big game is a knick he is so much better? Frye is now a starter in some minds? And we forget Mo. T and Rose in most equations.

I dig the hype, but the excitement to me is really just seeing how this all comes together in the next FEW YEARS!

I love the draft picks, I love Larry, but WE got big Game with no real back up at this time!

We are going with Craw and Marbs. Marbs is talented enough to be ok, but Craw is in for the mind PHuch of his life with larry at the helm!

I worry about our back court chemistry alot! Not the raw talent.

I worry about Big game who is a backup, and no one but Frye to back him up. Miami can thow Shaq-Haslam-Zoe-Walker-amd the white dude who used to be here (mind is gone!) at us all at teh C and PF! We don't match up with Miami very well.

But do they match up with us? HA HA!

You were referring to Mike Doleac.

I just had my morning coffee.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I am not convinced with J-will as you are, but we do know one thing, if he reverts to his ways of old, shaq will see to it that he is on the pine.. But I must admit, he is not the shooter Jones was but he is much more creative, he can penetrate and create shots for others, something that Damon jones never did, so it is a upgrade in that area, I mean the heat did good for themselves, you have to believe that shaq was advised before bringing these guys in, and he sounded happy, I can't wait for the season to start, miami will be good. Again as mentioned walker will be the key to how much better they are...

Posey is pretty freaking defensive minded and Riley has already said he's starting. If he's back in shape, I think Posey could be their biggest addition. Though, it's obviously very important that Walker accepts a bench role and JWill plays smart ball.

the only thing the knicks are going to eliminate the heat from is the lottery! That, and possibly not breaking the Bull's single season win total.

Shaq wasn't really hurt that much last season, though he did wear down- having an at full strength Zo & Walker as a potential low post threat should enable miami to save shaq up even more than they did last year.

In fact, I'd almost have shaq off the bench to start the game- let him play 8-10 mins in the first half, and then get more time in the second.

This post makes no sense whatsoever, Miami didn't have scoring and it nearly cost them, Shaq and D Wade almost got them to the finals and both of them were injured.....

Miami is going to play the Big Fella 25 minutes a night, and has a bench that features Haslem, Mourning, and Simon they have the strongest frontcourt in the NBA, and Posey and J Will are both team players, the Heat are going to be fresh and win 60...

What did the Knicks really add, JJ (TT and MO Taylor of the center position), Lee and Frye are not going to really play, Nate is going to get 15 min a game which is nice, Ariza didn't improve a thing in the offseason his jumper is still broke, and Q will help stretch the defense a little and give us a post presence from a guard, not exactly a ringing endorsement for a top team, LB will get us 7 more wins.......but lets not get carried away

Not a stretch at all since we have the "Best quartet in the game" right?

When did Riley say posey was starting? I must have missed that because what I have heard is "Haslem is the starter" Which usually means "We are not going to give away this guy's starting spot before training camp out of personal respect for him.

I would be surprised if Walker does not start at the beginning of the season and I would be shocked if he isn't the starter by early 2006.

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

The ride won't be smooth for the Miami Heat. Someone along the lines of Shaq/D-Wade will end up missing some games. No way they run away with the East.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!
