New York also includes a future #1 pick while Boston includes a future 2nd rd pick.

Successful Scenario
Due to New York and Boston being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. New York and Boston had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Boston will do it to get rid of Lafrenze huge contract. They get cap space in TT, a combo guard, a young S/PF in Lee & a tough vet in Rose for rebs & defense. Zeke pulls the trigger for obvious reason but we must absorb Rafe to make the deal exceptable + sweeten it with a #1 pick.

Paul Pierce is a black hole and cries at every oppourtunity he gets. Don't want him anywhere near the Knicks. Let Denver get him and play with the problem of no one getting enough touches. That team is going to implode, starting with Carmelo.

PP is a very good player. Boston will never trade with NY unless they were getting a steal.

History.

I'm glad Danny Ainge has a self-esteem problem and won't trade with Isiah because I want nothing to do with Pierce.

Nene is a good big player with potential to be outstanding. Boston would be more likely to do that deal with Denver. Maybe they'd do the deal with us if we included Frye and Sweetney but that's too much to give up for Pierce

You guys are really down on Pierce. He is an incredible player, who did one really dumb thing in one game.

I'd love to have him on the knicks. That deal minus the pick works for me.

You seriously wouldn't do the trade if they insisted on getting Crawford? You really think Crawford is gonna become a better player than Paul Pierce? Craw has skills but he's just too much of a wuss. With Marbury and Nate on the team, I'd actually prefer to give up Jamal than Q in this trade. I'd like to keep both to see how they play under Larry Brown, but if I had to give up one to get Pierce, I'd do it (and I'd prefer it to be Jamal).

Ainge would be getting a #1 pick, cap space, youth & a vet ?? I think he would do it. The media would say that Zeke is getting robbed for taking Lafrenz back & Ainge is a genus for stealing potential, cap space & a #1 pick with a vet who is a " good guy " !
