Whoa... Denver with Pierce? Only players of significance traded by Denver are Nene and Miller?

Ainge has done it again (ala the Sheed trade). That's what'll be said if this rumor fleshes out into a real deal.

It would bring about the need to revamp the hierarchy in hte West.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

well, i guess the celtic rebuild has now fully come to light--they were sneaky about it--what is their line up now?

C-Nene
F Jefferson
F Davis
G Allen
G Miller

They do get Nene, but losing a Paul Pierce is tough to replace.

now I think they went from 34 wins to 26

I actually like the trade for the celts. They get to suck for another two years, get two more years of huge post players through the draft and pull a chicago, except with a young buck PF already in the stable and loaded at guard spots.

I'd be surprised if they werent able to straight up pull off a Ricky Davis for Nene Swap though.

P-dizzle is the player that would be Kobe if he had played with Shaq.

Yeah I like this trade rumor if it's true....

Dever is gonna shoot up to the top of the West. They needed a lead scorer. Carmelo proved that he isn't ready for playoff basketball and pressure. Now he can relax becuase Pierce is not afraid.

I can't get down on it cuz it's just good for basketball.....hopefully our Knicks can catch up!

This is a win-win for both teams. The Celtics just got better by a lot. I mean look at their roster after the trade...

C-Nene
PF-Al Jefferson
SF-Ricky Davis
SG-Gerald Green
PG-Andre Miller

Bench-Raef LaFrentz, Mark Blount, Brian Scalabrine, Curtis Borchardt,
Marcus Banks, Delonte West, Tony Allen, Kendrick Perkins, Qyntel Woods, Justin Reed, Will Bynum, Ryan Gomes

Holy Shnikies!

They have some quality BIGS at the bench in LaFrentz, Blount, Perkins, Scalabrine and Borchardt.

They have quality if not high on potential at the wings.

DANG! I hate this.

I agree NYKBocker. The Celtics got better by a lot. Gerald Green, Al Jefferson and Nene is an incredible trio. That is real youth movement. Damn, I cant believe they get Nene!

Add Ryan Gomes to that youth movement. Then you got defensive specialist Tony Allen.

GRRRR! Only the Knicks are suppose to improve! I hate you Daniela Ainge!

That's a nice youth movement. All they'd need to do is trade Ricky Davis.

Well after I though about this trade.....I wonder how Melo and Pierce is gonna mesh. Pierce demands the ball and so does Carmelo. Carmelo is not a good passer. Pierce is ok with creating but usually does it while attacking double teams. They have similiar games......

It should work. George Karl lost alot of credibility when the Olympic team lost. He's still one of the best coaches out there. He'll get it together.

Earl Watson is gonna have a monster season.

Pierce and Melo aren't exactly known for being selfless team players. This will help Denver, but I'd give them at best only 50/50 odds of making it past the first round

Guys, this will not be a problem. Pierce has played with a guy that shoots a lot. His numbers are not gonna go down. They will actually work very well together and help each score. Their coach knows what to do with multiple scoring threats (ex: Ray, Glen and Sam). Denver will be a VERY good team unless Camby gets injured. I think they will feel the loss of Nene but Pierce and Carmelo will be good.

I laughed so hard when Pierce obtained a diva attitude and pushed off with the offensive foul! Threw the series away! They had it!

That mental soft moment defined selfishness and would prompt me to exile him off the team.

I was dumbfounded by his thinking that his disrespect was above his team, and the fans!

Its a good trade for Boston, but if im the NUggs im not sleeping well with Kmart and Camby as my bigs! No bulk, no size!

Melo and pierce just seems redundant!

That team will suck. They don't have a consistent #1 scorer on that team. If Gerald Green is starting on your team.. your not goint to be very good. While its nice to have that youth..nothing is a guarantee... see chicago.
