We should win all of our first 5 games! The toughest opponent is Washington and they wont be as good minus Hughes. After 5 games, we should be looking at a 5-0 start.

I say 3-2......the two losses against Washington and the away game at GS...

I think those games are winnable. I think our team with Brown can win those 5 games without completely overachieving. We have more talent and a better coach that those 5 teams.

Here's my reasoning....GS IMO has more talent than us overall....Baron equals out Steph, Jason is a better player than Craw and Q....Dunleavy and Murphy are more effective than the FC we can put on the floor....and they have been together for a year already.

Washington also may have gotten BETTER by getting Butler and Daniels (instead of Hughes) and getting Rid of Kwame so now Thomas (if healthy) can start.

I guess I am being too optimistic but I dont worry about GS. I think Steph is better than Davis and I think Crawford and Q will play well enough to make up for Jason. I dont see Dunleavy and Murphy as threats. Dunleavy can shoot (he reminds me of KVH) and Murphy can rebound. I think we can overcome that with Browns defense pretty well.

Washington's is worse off talent wise. I know you like Arenas but I would take Steph over him. Jamison is good but Sweetney had a good game against him last year. He had 16 and 13 or something. Because of Brown, I am starting to look at the knicks as a team that win games they can win. I think by January, you will agree with me.

I know we will be able to win games. Eventually. First five games though? I highly doubt it. I think just the fact that they have been together and know the system will have a HUGE impact on the GS game....I can even see us losing at home in the 1st GS game and beating them in GS.

Washington has a MUCH more well rounded team since they got rid of Kwame. All things aside, I think I would rather have a team of Arenas, Butler, Jamison, Ethan Thomas and Brendan Haywood than Steph, Q, TT, Sweets, and JJ.....However I do think our bench may be better than Washington's.

don't sleep on portland. GSW is going to be very good too. I say 3-2 with both loses coming to GSW.

We can go 5-0, but we can also go 2-3 or 1-4 even. We are a very good home team but as you guys know, we are known to struggle on the road. Plus, those away games are against talented teams so anything can happen.

i think it's tough to figure out what we have until preseason starts - we don't know rotations, style of play, etc. and even if we go 0-5, that's really ok b/c it may take us a while to work into brown's system.

I know its early. I am not even taking Frye, Nate and Lee into consideration. I am just going on Marbury, Crawford, Q, Ariza, Jerome James and Sweetney. When they are coached by Brown, they can beat those teams coming out of the gate. I am gonna take gamepicker this year!

I hope all the rookies get early burn, it'll be interesting and add even greater excitement.

LOL I hope Jason Kidd's kneecap falls off during that game. It's time for the Nets to return to their rightful place- under the shoes of the Knicks. That goes for their fans, too.

whoa, those are high expectations. my expectations are for us to find a rotation that works best--see what players fit and dont fit--and see positive play from the youngins--see crawford at starting pg hopefully playing well

With Brown, I dont think we will lose many winnable games. I think there is enough talent on this team to have a good record. I am also expecting 8pts and 10rebs from Jerome James with like 2bls. With Brown as our coach, Sweets and Big Game will both be disciplined enough to not foul out. LB will also use JJ's shotblocking ability and find the right defense for the team.
