In all seriousness, during last year's playoff run, I just kept thinking how much the pistons look like a really good knick team.

I could see craw running off screens like hamilton, marbs and billups are basically twins (they may have played for the same number of teams). Now with JJ, could he morph into Ben Wallace (another ex-one dimensional player, well, maybe ben is still one dimensional).

Frye "could" be sheed (I know it's a stretch, but hey, I'm trying), When TT is in the post and dominates his smaller defender, it reminds me of Sheed in the post, so maybe combine TT and Frye to be Sheed?

There's been some argument that Ariza (btw, me hearts reezy too) could grow up to be Prince (sans the shooting range).

OK, this is where it get's tricky...

There is no Q on the pistons, so maybe that's a positive for us, and our low post scoring options are similar, if not better, than what the pistons have.

I think LB could make us a truly entertaining team using the same scheme he used in Detroit (with more running ofcourse). Was LB the coach of pistons when they had Smits? I don't remember.

I mean, could Sweets be a baby Elden Campbell (in terms of production...a better option IMHO)?
N8 a baby Lindsey Hunter?
MoT v. McDyess?
Rose v. Dale Davis?

I don't think that LB had to use too many of his magic beans to put the 50 win detroit team over the top, but he can take a underachieving 33 win team and put them in the position where announcers say:

"Nobody wants to be the team that has to face the hungry knick team in the first round"

Thoughts?

I don't see this.

Frye could be a Horace grant (think back to younger days)

Craw-Rip comps are over rated.

Billups-marbs not much similar other than bald and muscular.

JJ as wallace is not a stretch, its inconcievable.

Reezy will be much better than prince .

Sweets is more talented than Campbell ever was.

Detroit has no superstar, but we have a diva that has demands and needs (marbs).

Larry will do very well with our team and in time it will allwork out.

Larry coached his ass off last year!

He did coach Smits with the Pacers. I hated Brown back then.

Anyway....you gotta be excited about the Knicks. The Knicks have alot of talent. Alot of guys that can score and alot of guys that can run the floor. Alot of Dunkers. Most of all these guys can sit in the locker room and play music and talk about things that they all can relate to. Chemistry!!!

Plus LB.

Q is a guy that I'm looking at as a big X-Factor guy coming into training camp. He is a good scorer and he is gonna have Aguirre who had a similiar body to Q in his playing days teaching him. Awesome.

I think these Knicks are gonna suprise people. I hope they can do it!!!!!

i know, I don't know what has come over me. I'm dying for the season start so I will finally know if I am right or wrong about this year and our future.

I think they come out the gates slow, but everyone likes the effort.

dude relax... your 100% convinced Santa is bringing you the Death Star but its just as likely your getting an already used princess Leia action figure. It might take some time

Sheed sucked his first year anyway... PHili dumped him

but this is the time that there's nothing left to do BUT speculate... So I get it. One thing I know, is that LB will have these cats (and the diva) playing D or sitting. That alone is reason to sleep well at night. Defense will return to the Garden.

I agree, I hope its the young guys that learn it. If its TT, Penny and Malik Rose catching on the fastest and getting heavy minutes I cant say I will be thrilled about that.

I hope of Lee, Frye, Nate, Sweetney and Ariza that 5 of them are heavy rotation players and getting 30+ minutes

that's ALL i think we all ask for. if that lineup gets us 32 wins, then so be it but that's what this organization should be doing.

the vets that were brought in to "help win while rebuilding" are not good enough to help win so let's F'N do what we should be doin'.

I can live with 32 wins if the team plays

...and leaves it all on the floor every night.

The 1st rd boys are all hard workers from what we've heard so they should soak up Larry's teachings pretty quickly.
