August 29, 2005 -- WHO knew there was a VIP line at the Department of Motor Vehicles? One frustrated driver, financial analyst Marty Kindler, tells PAGE SIX that when he was trying to register a change of address at the DMV in Peekskill, he spotted Knicks president Isiah Thomas cutting the line with DMV employees' approval. "I am outraged that Isiah did not have to wait along with the general public," Kindler declares. We tried to contact the DMV in Peekskill but — surprise! — we couldn't get through to a human there. A faxed request for comment went unanswered.

makes sense. Isiah would have to endure many fans waiting and bothering him for autographs or questions.

Maybe he bought some bags of popcorn!

Maybe if Kindler had a good year he would not have to wait!

Isiah missed a golden opportunity: He could have given kool-aid to everyone in line!

Haha. The man had just picked up McDonalds for Sweetney and JJ and had to get it back to them warm. These guys don't like their fries and their triple quarter pounders cold!

it's the way of the world...those w/fame & fortune don't live under the same rules as the rest of us do...they get preferential treatment whereever they go, but they also get publically scrutinized everywhere they go too...it comes w/the territory.

Damn right he was fouled!

Somebody introduce to Marty Kindler the wonders of the internet. You can renew online. Then again he sounds like a Net fan. Can't be all there.

stop this! I almost choked on my hunan beef! These sports/famous people get labeled by these stupid little encounters. How someone behaives at DMV isnt a fair assesment of anything, except perhaps how quick to violence their temper will take them

he's an FA.. that explains alot. He's used to life on his terms with his country clubs and shiney cars. Then a horrible awakening to the fact that he's not the center of the universe after all... yikes!
