whether he explodes or doesn't explode,
whether it's 18 and 5 or 11 and 3,
whatever the case may be,
july 1st 2006 marks the end of timmy...

May I be the first to present this with a HALLELUJAH!

The day won't come soon enough.

you know if he explodes, he's staying here... sad truth. and once the contract is signed, he's going back to being fugazy.

i'd take a "fugazy" k-mart over timmy

I think Tim Thomas will have a good season but will be traded or resigned to a small contract. I dont see him staying and getting paid much. I think Zeke has seen through TT.

He will not recieve big bucks from us no matter what he does. If he explodes, GREAT!! His trade value shoots through the roof. But if he is resigned it will not be anywhere near what he was getting. Tim has gotten his payday, Zeke wont give him another.

i can easily see tim being re-signed for like $6-7 mil a year after this season. keeping him on board for 5/$30-35mil would be the worst thing we can do. especially if he explodes. unreliable - that's what he is and that's the WORST kind of player to have on your roster, either starting or on the bench.

TT is not good enough or smart enough a player to play better in his contract year. He is what he is. NO BASKETBALL IQ whatsoever!!

yeah but Dampier is close to 7ft and a legit center with some skills and plays inside. All he has to do is try and he'll average a double-double and a ton of blocks. Tim Thomas is a 6-10 jumpshooter who doesn't know how to play inside, doesn't know where to be on the court and is a horrific passer and makes terrible decisions. Would've really benefitted from a few more years of college ball. He was obviously poorly coached in High School and problably in his 1yr in Villanova

i wouldn't put anything past Knicks' management at this point...they use that MLE on garbage players all the time...why break form?
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Here's my nightmare scenario:

IT signs TT to an extension before the season starts.

I swear I'd switch teams.

If TT has a monster year, he will get a similar contract to JJ....Brown will bring the best out of him.
