The 4 names I have mentioned above will be the best quartet in the NBA next season. These 4 have everything that you need your big men to have to be successful. They can block shots, rebound, score and defend. Which ever rotation you have on the court will be productive. James and Sweetney will provide a lot of meet to clog up the middle, rebound, free throws or points in the paint, and shot blocking. Frye and Rose will provide speed, scoring, rebound, shot blocking and good defense. Frye and James is a combo of speed/strength and scoring/shot blocking. Frye and Sweetney is a combo of speed and length that can rebound and score the ball effectively.

I love where we are right now....For a team that was awful upfront last season to drastically change its makeup within less than 2 months is awesome.

I expect our big men to challenge the best of the best next season.

I agree they have the potential to be the best musical group of the year, so who will play the violin and who will play the trambone in this quartet?
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

This site needs more proud fans. Speak your piece, Dido!

They're not the fantastic 4, but true, they are a solid group.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Instead of the Jackson 5, we can have the Knicks 5. Except theres no one in that 5 that looks as good as Janet Jackson does, pre-titty exposure of course

And oh yeah, there isnt anyone in that group that molests little boys and had a skin color change surgery.. that we know of.

They could lead the NBA in foul outs...

1st quarter, use a combo of JJ & Mike (6 min); Mo T. & Frye (6min)
2nd quarter, use Frye and Rose or Mo T.
3rd quarter, JJ & Frye (6 min); Frye and Sweet (6 min)
4th quarter, which ever lineup that produces the most

This rotation will keep all of our boys out of foul trouble and most of all, they will all be fresh. Play each player an amount of 24 minutes

to bad tto bad they arent all one player with those skills. Seriously, every guy in the NBA brings something and does something. Having 5 that do all different things isnt an advantage, because (in case you didnt know) you can only play 5 guys at once. I would like to see the Knicks start big with Sweetney and James, then move to faster line ups with Frye and Rose. Mo T has no role or place on this roster IMO as he isnt a center and I would rather see Frye and Sweetney get those minutes.

Start 3 athletic guys with 2 wide bodies:
Marbury
Crawford
Q
Sweetney
James
then sub in Ariza, Nate, Frye and Rose. Thats your 9 man rotation. If Lee, Tim Thomas, Mo Taylor, Butler or Penny are going to get any burn at all they will have to really show they can hit the glass and pass the ball. Nate, Ariza = energy/D, Frye = size and scoring, Rose = D and veteran play. Maybe Lee gets some time at SF for a stretch a game like Ariza did last year.

no, we can pretty much guarantee you the Knicks won't have the best frontcourt right now.

if you were arguing for the depth and quality of the backcourt with Steph, Nate, Craw, Q and Ariza - I'd be with you. But the frontcourt? No.

The Knicks DO NOT have the talent to compete with the better frontcourt's in the League.

How are we going to deal with this:

Ben Wallace/Sheed/McDyess/Davis
Shaq/Haslem/Zo/Barron

or a young and upcoming

Okafor/Prezec/May

i mean, shouldn't Sweetney and James have to prove they can stay in the game, FIRST?

Okafor and Brezec are solid, may hasn't proven anything yet, except that he can get real fat. have you seen him lately?

Miami and Detroit have a force on their front line, not many teams can deal with that, but as long as we can compete and try to hold our own, that is what we can ask for..

and what the heck has Barron done, to be put in a group to worry about?

I don't know if you have ever seen Barron play but trust me, you would want this guy on the Knicks.

May didn't do anything but help win a NCAA championship

I know our rookies haven't done athing yet, that is why I conceeded the fact that we won't be able to contend with those established frontcourts.. Frye, nate and lee all helped their teams accomplish a lot, frye took arizona to the final 4, nate's team was ranked #1 overall in the tourney and lee
s team won the SEC title this year, all these guys have had good college careers...

As far as Barron goes, I need to see him play.. May I have seen and he is even more of a fat ass than sweetney...
