i have no clue what to think of it but it just hit me.

marbury + ariza for grant hill + #1 (unprotected)

i'm ready to get destroyed by all of you but here are my quick reasons:

1. move marbury's deal (most important)
2. hill will come off the books after 06/07
3. orlando gets a replacement SF as well, and we get a #1

talent wise - we are giving up way more BUT BUT BUT, if hill plays the next two seasons, and we have lee in the wings with Q, along with a #1 - then in 07, we're $20 mil UNDER the cap.

i'm ready for y'all. the gloves are off and i'll be dodging bullets.

I think the better question is (believe it or not)........does Orlando want Marbury???
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

First of all Marbury and Francis are a losing combination if I ever saw one.

second, Orlandos #1 next year will really be nothing special as they will compete for a playoff spot again, and will proably have the 7th or 8th pick in a super weak draft.

Why?

Third, whats the point

my mother always told me if i have nothing good to say, don't say anything at all. at that point i would proceed to tell her to get her bitch azz in the kitchen and make me some pie.
dj, you've had some good one's and you've had some bad one's, we all have. but, that's a complete rebuild move. if zeke were to do that, what was the purpose in him getting steph? in all honesty i think most steph proposals are a bit nutty, it's just not gonna happen. mind you i like hill. always have always will, but i'm not gonna trade steph for him. (and ariza?)

We're giving up Marbury and Ariza for a player with metal ankles and a likely mid 1st rd pick? that would be terrible.

to quote the rock "IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU THINK!!!"

hey, i'm just throwing sh t out there. it's all hypothetical.

i know any trade now would be premature.
and i want to see how steph works with LB.

BUT let's just say that craw really excels at the PG spot. if we're able to go to war with this lineup:

craw
Q
hill
frye
james

with tim, nate, lee, sweets, mo, malik, (and possibly a newly signed james jones)

and have three #1's next year to use either to pick a player or as part of a package to land a stud

or even just to get under the cap in the summer of 07 to see what's out there

this does give us some options.

hey, i want steph to succeed here more than anybody. all i'm asking is would you guys make this deal for the reasons i listed.

come on fellas, give me your best shot. i got the knicks/spurs game 3 on tv courtesy of my dvr and i feel like i can beat anybody. LET'S GO...

(marv, i need help)

Marbury and Francis are almost identical players, and both come with major attitude. I don't think the Magic would want Marbury and even short term, Grant Hill is a big risk. After Houston and McDyess I don't think we have the spine.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

In the brilliant words of my old man: "Tell em' 7 words. 'Daddy says it's not going to happen.'"

I am all in favor of moving Marbury to make Craw the starting PG, however, I just don't see Isiah making a trade like that, b/c he said a million times he wants a superstar in return. The trade we really SHOULD have done was Dalembert for Marbury, but Isiah got insulted by that for some reason. How about, wake up Isiah, that would have been one of the best trades in recent memory. I would have MUCH rather had a lineup of Craw, Q, Ariza, one of the PFs and Dalembert. Balanced and big at every position with a good shot to be a good defensive lineup.

You surprised me Rich. I thought you'd do anything to get Marbury's contract off the cap
