i don't think we really need to make any more moves here (outside of buying out penny).

i think we need LB to work with this team for at least a month to figure out who has the potential to work in his system. it will probably take the entire season for some to fit in but more moves now would be way too premature.

there's too many trade rumors floating around, and for bums like snow or "LB" type of players (which is BS b/c he's adapted to every team he has gone to).

marbury could become an mvp candidate here - or he could be buying himself a one way ticket to atlanta.
craw could become tmac east, or he could become vernon maxwell v2.
tim could become...oh who am i kidding...he's still a bum.

but you catch my drift.

we just went through two roster overhauls in about 1 1/2 - 2 years. another one is probably coming up in february but i think FOR NOW, we should just be patient and see what we got (and that includes NOT USING the LLE).

Let me go on record and say that Tim Thomas will have a big year next year. Jerome James too. I believe that.

Use the LLE if something interesting comes along, but not just to use it.

killa - i hear you about tim. but the last time tim had a big year, it was his contract year also - then we saw the tim we've come to know and love. you just can't rely on him. WHATEVER he does next season, be it 10/3 or 18/5, he should not be a knick in 06/07.

jerome james is a big X factor. he could be the one to dictate our season. he said alot of things people want to hear on the radio but it's up to him to stay on the court and help us out. i'm not buying big game stock just yet.

how did TT fare the first time w/LB as his coach in Philly?...i know he was a good 6th man 1 year for them, which got him that crazy contract to begin with, but i think he'll be starting here unless Isiah decides to trade him...Ariza's not ready to start yet imho...& you all know how much i despise TT, but i think he's going to start unless Q starts ahead of him at the 3.

he averaged 11 & 3 his rookie season in Philly & then got traded to the Bucks, no? wasn't he a 6th man for the Sixers or did he start? i coulda sworn he came off the bench for them...you're right about the contract part though...my bad.

I think he;ll start and I think he should, he creates a mismatch and if he gets going early, it poses problems for the D. I don't think we have anyone who is better than him as a 3, and based on that he should start.

I hope Craw gets a legitimate shot to be the PG.

Rich your sig is a nice quote, but Hannity and the rest of the conservatives were supportive of this war from the very beginning. Isn't it a little late for him to be asking that question after putting his weight behind the invasion in the first place?

No, the point of the quote is to point out the hypocritical disparity of Hannity's positions on the war in Bosnia (which is the subject of the quote in my sig), and his position on the Iraq war.

I've been saying this for about a month now. When the news gets slow, some ome up with the wildest trades, while others slip into neo-pessimist mode. Summers on this board have always been crazy that way.

I wonder if they'll do more open practices like they started doing last season. They should have an open training camp day for the fans or season tixholders + guests like the Draft party and the Isiah Q&A was. That would let fans like us see Larry interact with the team, and gives us a preview of who'll possibly step up most this season.

I can't wait for Training Camp and the season opoener to get here either, DJ.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

"neo-pessimist mode" Great line!

Then there is the "uber fan" who is card carrying optomist!

Then the "perfectionist", who is never happy.

The "anal snit" never contributes, just comments.

THe "hyper trader", always in the lab at realgm cooking the numbers for massive trades. Always willing to conceed any arguement with throwing in a "lottery protected no. 1 pick" to make it work!

at this point, i think we need to get to training camp and see what we have
