around the forum i have heard we will average 10/10/2 - 4/2/1. I personally beleive he will do around 12-15/8. Look what marbury did to nazr, during the beginning of the year there were all star speculations. with marbs just dumping it off to big game i think he could be very effective.

any thoughts??

i agree. marbs will get him between 8-12 but only if he can stay on the court.

Nazr had excellent hands. I am not sure how good Big Game James hands in regards to catching the ball. If he can catch then he will have a great year. Nazr also trailed very well and got a lot of garbage points off putbacks from Marbury misses.

WHAT!!!!!!! Nazr had hands of stone!!!!! He still had em in SA with turnovers and it taking him about 2 minutes to gather the ball once it was dumped to him. He was good with putbacks and trailing though.

He has excellent hands. He catches everything thrown to him. That is also a good reason why he is a good rebounder. The problem with him is if you pass the ball to him below his waist it takes a day and a half to collect himself for the dunk.

Nazr fumbled an alley oop pass with about 2 seconds and had to force the layup and he missed from next to the basket. And please let me know why you think nazr has excellent hands. marbs practically handed the ball to him.

i dont remember but was nazr a good finisher and is big game a good finisher

I disagree nykbocker...he had hands of stone. If you have to put the ball in a specific place for him to gather himself, that's hands of stone.

Amare can get the ball on his neck...those are "excellent" hands.

If anything, Nazr had so-so hands.

he was basically handed the ball from marbs, probably the longest pass completed when nazr scored was about 5 ft. and he was a decent rebounder

8 points, 10 boards, 1.7 blocks. That's all I'm expecting unfortunately. I'm looking for him to clog the lane and turn those less than 6 point defeats into wins.

I'm more into Frye doing it to it.

I think 8/7/2 is more of a safe bet.

If he can play 30+ minutes then I would have to put a cap of about 12/10/close to 3

I love Jerome James. He has all the traits of a good player but just hasn't put it together. It all depends if he can step up.

He has a great personality. He's also a true beast inside. He is a fierce compeditor out there and he's not afraid of playing against the best players. Jerome has awesome hands. Jerome is not a stiff and moves very well up and down the court as well as in the half court. Jerome has always been been at the top of the league in blocks per minute. Jerome will finish with authority around the basket.

8/7/1 at the outset, and improving to 10/10/1.5 down the stretch of the season after the all-star break. That's how I see Big Game James doing this year.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I think 12/8/2 is possible, but he's going to have to really work hard to stay on the court.
He actually is a better offensive player than Nazr and he was able to get 11/8. JJ isn't going to have to create all by himself just as Nazr didn't have to. Tho JJ can post guys more effectively than Nazr. With hopefully better team defense, JJ will be protected from getting into foul trouble, except for when we play Shaq.

We'll have a lot of MASS in the post this year. I hope the court can support all the extra weight when Sweets and JJ are on the floor. Its gonna be like a pinball game out there. Guys just bouncing off Sweets and JJ :)

It all depends - I think he can go for 10/8/2 or even something like 12/10/2 but that's only if he can play about 25 minutes a game out there. keep in mind nazr's 10/8 average was when he was playing 30 minutes a game, and i think Nazr offensively is as good as or slightly ahead of JJ now. If jerome james stays out of foul trouble I think he can put up double double type numbers, and I think larry brown has the chance to teach him the right way to play. if you look at his numbers, the reason he played so well against the kings is because he was out there for 30 minutes per game. If he doesn't change and plays about 15 miunutes per game i'd expect 6/4/1

You know what? JJ and Sweet will really be a force to reckon with. Sweet is the best rebounder that we currently have, and JJ will provide the shot blocking that we need.

Nate
Houston or Crawff
Ariza
Rose or Mo T.

Nazr had HORRIBLE hands....still does. And don't get me started on the 29,000 pump fakes... Ughh.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.
