NY Daily News - Eric Snow, a personal favorite of Larry Brown, is drawing the interest of Isiah Thomas and the Knicks at the request of their new coach.

There have been rumors about Golden State, which would be willing to move Derek Fisher, and the Cavs trying to recruit a third team to take Snow, but the Knicks are turned off by Snow's bloated contract.

The Knicks have some big contract of their own, but since those of Tim Thomas and Penny Hardaway will expire following this season, they have become two of the most attractive in the league.

I like the sound of that.

Lets not forget this is the Daily News we're reading here.

2 words...roster space...we don't have it to make a deal like that (though i do like it from a talent standpoint obviously)...the Knicks need to pull off a 2 for 1 or 3 for 2 type trade...they already have 16 players on the roster as it is if they sign James Jones.

C - JJ v.1 / Butler / Frye
PF - Sweetney / Rose / Mo T
SF - TT / Ariza / Lee
SG - Q / Craw / JJ v.2
PG - Marbury / Nate
IR - Houston / Penny

That article hardly says anything. What do we get, who do we give up? I mean some insight would be nice. All we can get from the article is that Golden State wants to move Fisher (SUPRSISE LOL), and that Cavs want to move Snow (anotehr SURPISE LOL).

So two teams want to move bad contracts, who are you gonna call, yes you guessed it, the Knicks. Except that for all of IT's faults, he does not pick up old bad overpaid players.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

well, he did sign Vin Baker...but for the most part, i agree with you...i think he's showed some restraint so far in not jumping at the first overpaid maxed out player he could find & trading away TT or Penny's expiring deals.

thank god im not the only one who dosent want snow.
3 reasons not to get snow:
1 limit whatever pt nate was goin to get
2 we have 3 people who can play point
3 hes over the hill and paid too much

and maybe if u give mo t or something I will agree with that, but i have seen crawford goin straight up for snow and if we did that we would get raped.

can someone post a list of some possible or rumored trades for snow

Gooden's a young talented player w/a reasonable contract that expires in a couple years...he'd be a good trade chip to have, so in that respect the trade would make sense...taking on Snow's contract would be nonsensical from a fiscal standpoint, but do you think that would stop the Knicks from making the trade if they thought it would improve the team?

is gooden that much better than a frye/sweetney combo?
is he that much better that we're willing to take back that ATROCIOUS eric snow deal?
seriously, it might as well be eisley or ward b/c that's the type of impact that snow will deliver.
he's cooked and not worth bringing back drew gooden.

Knicks just need to leave the Timmy and Penny contracts alone and just buy them out. Save the drama. Their contracts are valuable but the Knicks just don't have the space unless the Knicks are gonna get a bonified all-star.....not gonna happen.

Two for ones make more sense right now.....still we are talking about some major moves regardless off what happens.

People find it easier to deny that possibility because it's consistent with their claims about Isiah having no plan.

For the last time. Isiah took on Baker as a favor to his agent, who also happens to be Crawford's agent.

And the last time I checked, there's something called a roster limit bois.....and not only that, but Drew Gooden is hardly a legit upgrade over anything we already have. Hell, with 30 MPG, Malik freakin Rose could average 14 and 9...
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.
