Successful Scenario
Due to New York, Minnesota, and Miami being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. New York, Minnesota, and Miami had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Toss in a No. 1 pick if you like.
Hell, Houston almost an expiring contract! They should do it! No? No?
Although we are losing Frye and nate, I feel that on a talent for talent level, the Knicks will somehow struggle through. And Big Game more then makes up for the loss of Shaq, I feel. We are adding more long-term salary then the GDP of Guatamala, but hey, It's not my money!
Then, as a follow-up, sign David Stern as our in-house cap consultant, and with the new "One-time full amnesty for all contracts on teams starting with the initials NYK" rule, waive all our players. Then of course resign them all to rookie contracts with the new "One-time only free agent signing window for all teams starting with the initial NYK" rule. Then get Bynum to satisfy BRIGGS.
Our starting line-up willl be:
Stephon Marbury
Dwyane Wade
LeBron James
Kevin Garnett
Shaq
Bench:
Kirk Heinrich (signed him for a 2nd Rounder and David Lee)
Q-Rich
Rashard Lewis (signed him for Malik Rose and a future protected 1st rounder)
Dwight Howard (signed him straight-up for Ira Newble)
Ben Wallace (signed him for Michael Doleac, and a complicated loop-hole discovered by our new cap consultant whereby any East coast team with an island in the middle of it's host city can sign the reigning Defensive player of the Year for free)
NBDL: Bynum, Emeka Okafor (signed him for Wally Szczerbiak and a second rounder)
Toss in a No. 1 pick if you like.

Some men see things as they are and ask why. I dream things that never were and ask why not?
