1. Moving Jamal Crawford to 1, making sure his arsenal is comprised of 80% mid range and ribble drives-cutting down on the 3 ball att by 75%. I would love to see Jamal concentrate on pass first, mid arnge and dribble drive secondand rebounding the ball. I like his length on the 1 on the D-side. Id like to see Jamal play 28-34 min at PG

2. Channing Frye---My standard line--I expect him to come in and put up 13-14-7--he's a pivotal player and his pT needs to be pushed even at the expense of bumps and bruises. I like Frye in general and its IMPORTANT for him to play WELL.

3. Mike Sweetney 14-9 14-9 14-9 its his time to show it.

4 Nate Q Ariza 20 minute players bringing tempo energy and scoring from the bench in 20 minutes.

5. James HAS to step up to 8 6-2 and play 75+games

All this, but at the 2 as well!

steph, craw, q - we all know to expect from them.
they can score.

the real key is sweets and frye. depending on how good they are will dictate the season.

If we didn't have Larry Brown, I couldn't envision this being possible. Since we do, I can.

I wasn't too sure on your predicted numbers for Frye: 13-14-7?

Meaning pts, rebs, blks? Per game?
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Agree with your post Briggs except for a few minor points.

First off, the Channing Frye argument, I knwo your expecting him to get 14 and 7 but I think that would be a high water mark, if he gets 14 and 7, I'll be extatic. I'm guessing he puts up around 11 and 6. I think his first half of the year is going to be weak and he's going to hear all the media and the fans calling out for him to step it up and he will in the second half. It's going to take time, just like it would with any other rookie.

Secondly, I think Q deserves much more then 20 minutes a game. I know their is a rotation at the SG/SF positions, but I'd much rather see him get around 25-30 mins a game and TT around 17-22. Will that happen? Well I guess that depends on how TT responds to Larry Brown and how far along Reezy has come since last year. I like your idea of giving him 20 minutes a game though, he definately deserves it and he is going to be one of the main players who thrives under Larry Brown.

Finally, not a disagreement just a point. I really like your assment of Jamal. If JC can do what you said and cut down on the 3's by 60-70% the Knicks are going to be a MUCH MUCH MUCH better team then they were last year. Good take on Jamal.

He was guessing between 13 and 14 points per game and 7 rebounds per game.

I would die if he pplays 28-34 minutes at the 1. Steph is our best distributor by a long shot and should be the pg for most of the time except for 8 minutes on the bench and 10 minutes during the game.

But other than that i like everything you and about Craw, Frye and Sweets.

I don't see Nate playing 20 minutes a game. I just don't see it. There aren't enough minutes at the 1 or 2 for him, but we'll see how he plays.

I think Craw and Marbs will split time at the point and each spend some time at SG. I think Q will get more minutes. I'd be thrilled if Nate got 20 minutes, but I'm not sure if he will. It'd be nice to see Nate on the floor in the 4th quarter.

N8 will be a 8-10 min. a game guy and I think that's all he needs to shine. He's so explosive that even in short mins. he'll be productive.

JC will be just fine. I saw him make changes in his approach and he really seemed to mature towards the end of the season. LB will complete his training...A Jedi, shall he be :)

Q will need at least 25-30 a night. I think in general everyones mins. will be cut and that's a good thing. cuz I think they can all be just as effective with fewer mins. that includes Steph. He really didn't need to play as much as he has, but we didn't have enough depth so he played. Now we have lots of coverage and he can rest more.
