It’s been reported that LB is trying to convince Isiah to deal for Snow. I’m against this idea because of his age and contract. But if it had to be done, then how about this 3 way trade? NY does this to cut future payroll, get younger and add length & true PG prospect.
New York Trade Breakdown Outgoing Malik Rose 6-7 PF from Drexel 8.3 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 0.7 apg in 23.6 minutes Jamal Crawford 6-5 SG from Michigan 17.7 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 4.3 apg in 38.4 minutes Incoming Eric Williams 6-8 SF from Providence 12.6 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 2.0 apg in 35.2 minutes Loren Woods 7-2 C from Arizona 3.9 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 0.4 apg in 15.8 minutes Roko Ukic 6-5 from Croatia No games yet played in 2004/05 Eric Snow 6-3 PG from Michigan State 4.0 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 3.9 apg in 22.8 minutes Change in team outlook: -5.5 ppg, +4.0 rpg, and +1.3 apg. Toronto Trade Breakdown Outgoing Eric Williams 6-8 SF from Providence 12.6 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 2.0 apg in 35.2 minutes Rafer Alston 6-2 PG from Frenso State 14.2 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 6.4 apg in 34.0 minutes Loren Woods 7-2 C from Arizona 3.9 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 0.4 apg in 15.8 minutes Roko Ukic 6-5 from Croatia No games yet played in 2004/05 Incoming Jamal Crawford 6-5 SG from Michigan 17.7 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 4.3 apg in 38.4 minutes Luke Jackson 6-7 SF from Oregon 2.9 ppg, 0.6 rpg, 0.3 apg in 4.3 minutes Anderson Varejao 6-10 SF from Brazil 4.9 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 0.5 apg in 16.0 minutes Change in team outlook: -5.2 ppg, -4.6 rpg, and -3.7 apg. Cleveland Trade Breakdown Outgoing Luke Jackson 6-7 SF from Oregon 2.9 ppg, 0.6 rpg, 0.3 apg in 4.3 minutes Eric Snow 6-3 PG from Michigan State 4.0 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 3.9 apg in 22.8 minutes Anderson Varejao 6-10 SF from Brazil 4.9 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 0.5 apg in 16.0 minutes Incoming Malik Rose 6-7 PF from Drexel 8.3 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 0.7 apg in 23.6 minutes Rafer Alston 6-2 PG from Frenso State 14.2 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 6.4 apg in 34.0 minutes Change in team outlook: +10.7 ppg, +0.6 rpg, and +2.4 apg. Successful Scenario I can live with this trade because we get the rights to Ukic. Yes, he has recently signed a 4 yr deal with a Spanish club, but he’s only 20 yrs old with great upside. He’s 6-5 pass-first pure PG who plays defense (6-9 wing span). http://www.draftexpress.com/viewprofile.php?p=26 We get Woods who is a big body. He gets rebounds and can block shots. He’s an ending contract. Eric Williams is a good defensive player who can play both F positions and he’s also an ending contract. Eric Snow is 32 and has 4 yrs left, but if Larry is hell-bent on having him as his PG, that’s the way it goes. This team is better balanced and has improved defensively. We save $$$ in future payroll and we still have ending contracts of Penny/TT to play with. Knicks Snow / Nate / Penny / (Rights to Ukic) Marbury / Ariza / Houston Q / TT / E Willaims / Lee Sweets / JYD / Taylor JJ / Frye / Woods / Butler Raptors Duhon / Calderon / Alvin Crawford / Peterson / Luke Jackson Rose / Joey Graham Bosh / Villanueva / Bonner / Williams Araujo / Varejao / Sow Cavaliers Alston Hughes / Newble LBJ / Pavlovic Gooden / Marshall Ilgauskas / Rose |
