His agent has said that his reputation is sort of tainted at this point and therefore he will not get the money that he would have (before the Nets situatuion). It's something to thing about. I think he could be a big plus to the team. Is it possible?
NY KNICKS 4 EVER! Will we ever find players like Anthony Mason, Xavier McDaniels, Patrick Ewing again? I hope so.

Let SAR stay in the West. The Nets really did screw up his market value, though. No matter what his agent says, his value is shot. He should have taken the 47 Mil from Milwaukee to begin with. He brought it on himself by opting for the Nets, now they move on with MArc Jackson (LOL!) and his rep is shot to hell.

Rod Thorn was an idiot on this one.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

What if Shareef ends up like McDyess? Maybe his knee was in bad shape and Rod Thorn didn't want to commit any money for a guy who wouldn't be able to play? I don't know the situation but let us wait until next year to criticize Thorn - this is a guy who built a contender from pretty much nothing, was forced to rip it up, and then built another top 10 team halfway through the season when ratner changed his mind. If reef is on the injured list half the year are we still going to call Rod Thorn and idiot? what if he goes out and gets Steven Hunter for part of the MLE and signs a guy like Duhon with the rest to back up Kidd? plus they still have their trade exception.

even nets fan all acknowledge that thorn and the organization botched that whole deal. the marc jackson deal is actually a TWO year deal (w/ a player option for the 2nd season that marc will pick up). so in essence, they got him for 2 years at $4 mil (b/c they got $3 mil in return) for a 2nd round pick. this is also where they used their trade exemption.

BUT they still have their #1 pick and now jackson as a throw-in to make a deal at the break or something like that.

it definitely hurts them this year, but may help them get someone next summer.
