7 of our first 9 games are on the road which includes a early west coast swing ! Then 6 of the next 8 games will be against playoff teams ! So where will we stand after our first 17 games ? LB better have this team ready coming out of training camp or they will lose their confidence quickly ! That may lead to panic moves by Zeke trying to get high price vet players in exchange for our youngsters to appease LB ! Posters will then panic and all the " I told you so " nasayers will come out in droves !

So the question is what will record be after 17 games and what will the state of the Knicks be at that time. Will we panic ? Will we criticize ? or will we embrace the challenge of a young team, a tough schedule and high expectations !

YOU MAKE THE CALL !
Isiah Thomas will lead us back to the playoffs in 2006 !!!

If they are loosing with Brown as coach it only means the players suck. So we'll just have to buckle down and wate for roster changes.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Going out west is not so much scary like it use to be. I think the east is actually the best conference.

I think you guys are misreading this team. I don't see this Knicks team being scared to go into anyone's building and performing next year. Having a great Coach like Larry or Pat Riley boosts a teams confidence. They feel they are winners, cuz they are led by a winner.
They will be fully prepared which will also lend itself to beingg strong and confident.

Then there are the new players. ALL of them are confident and a bit ****y. The added depth should really help them to overcome the whole road effect. I just don't think the road will be as daunting as in the past.

overall the Nov sched is pretty managable I thought. My impression is we have a good shot at getting off to a good start.

Larry's own words are that we will be awful early on. I can accept that there will be growing pains.

The Naysayers will hate, so just prepare its going to be a process of learning!

I really don't care if we make the playoffs. If the process of being a contender (a real contender) in three years requires we go thru the process, then so be it! If this team is surging at seaons end and we miss the playoffs by one or two games, I will be very happy. If it comes sooner and we can make, great. But if we finish weak, and we playing vets too much, then it will be a disaster once again.

Crawling into the playoffs would not be cool, Surging and just missing it at least creates forward momentum, and a positive culture!
