This is just sad.....sadder, way more pathetic than the NJ Nets and their inability to sellout home playoff games.

We're talkin about a franchise with like 4 different owners, and they can't even get a S&T done despite the fact that it was already agreed upon.

It's such a joke. This guy Belkin, doesn't wanna pay 20 Mill. to JJ in his first year, so he's grabbing that big bag of money and running to Boston, with those 2 or 3 other owners right on his tail. But, wait! Just like Bugs Bunny, Belkin pulls a fast one, and gets a friggin restraining order AGAINST HIS OWN CO-OWNERS!!

How ****ed up is that ****! That's just sad. Hawk fans must be sulking away. Not only does their team suck, and I mean huge ass, but their ownership FINALLY gets a young talented player to actually WANT to come to the Hawks...........AND THEY FUCK IT UP ANYWAY!!!

Wow. Now THAT'S some ****ed up ****.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

They gave JJ way too much money. He's a nice piece, but he isn't someone you can build around as a focal point to a team.

But, yeah, their ownership is a joke.

After relocating to Atlanta I seen first hand how bad this franchise is. Per reports Belkin didn't even attend a single Hawks game. There like 9 owners with only about 5 having a majority interest. Belkin weasel his way on the board of governors, Stern wants to remove him, the others want to remove him, there are currently in court fighting for Belkin to sell his interest, that's why I don't understand Briggs saying he wants to sell his interest. He wants to keep it. Stern wants him out of the NBA badly and the guy wants a piece of the Celtics. I fault Stern for not caring who gives him money to take over these teams. How many serious talks can you have with guys like Sterling and the Belkins of the world.

Just listening to Belkin side now on Atlanta's radio and he said that Knight made the trade without his approval, and he didn't want Boris to be included and draft picks. It isn't about the money. Per him that there was a deal with the Suns but Colangelo went back to Knight and told him that they needed draft picks as well and Knight approved the trade without Belkin input. Knight tried to go around him by getting the other owners approval.

I met Steve Belkins when he came ot speak to my entrpreneur class. Interesting guy.

Bekin is the only one making sense on a despiriate franchise.

The baloon payment was meant to detract PHX from matching.

Besides paying him that sum, boris and two no.1's is insane!

I might consider that good compensation for Marbury. Boris is a nice players and those no. 1s not bad for a team trying to rebuild.

That is if that is what we are trying to do!

Living here in Atlanta and owning season tickets at one time, I can tell you there are a lot of fans here who want to root for this team, who yearn for this franchise to get it together. This is a great town to live in and play sports in, one of the best I think, if you ask me, but the Hawks are a mess. I knew this ownership group was a joke when they didn't give Dominique wilkins a bigger role within the org. I mean this guy is only looked upon as a God here in atlanta, imagine how good of a PR move that would have been. People would pay to see nique in a suit, that is how popular he is. This deal for JJ is just ridiculous for the hawks, this guy is not Kobe, or T-mac or Iverson, so I can understand to some degree why he is taking his money and running, I just hate how he is leaving his GM out there to hang...
