ya know, I would actually...

nah, I can't do it. That guy's a disaster. I wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole. He can't jump anymore and that was 75% of what made him borderline special in the first place.

Actually it was his shot-blocking, his 3 point shooting, and the fact that hes 7 feet.

His D wasn't good though. I wouldnt be mad at him for the LLE. and 15-20 MPG.

Yeah Killa, I agree with Raef for the LLE but not ONE CENT more.
He doesn't seem like a Larry Brown type player to me, though.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

...and he blocked those shots by jumping. That's what made him interesting as a player. He was highly athletic. That's gone, so all you've got left is a shooter. No thanks. It would be a mistake/waste.

yeah i don't like lafrentz with the LLE. let's wait and see who else gets cut for amnesty reasons. also, i'm pretty sure the LLE can't be used two years in a row, so I'd rather save it for next year and let Frye get backup minutes at center.

I'm not sure you said what you meant there.

Crawford, Timmy, Taylor, and Marbury aren't "Larry Brown" type players either. But I thought the concensus on this board was that Larry has a knack for being able to transform non-Larry Brown players into....none other than Larry Brown type players.

I think what you meant to say is that we already have enough projects for him to deal with, and there's no point in adding yet another one.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

LaFrentz is a Roy Williams guy...never underestimate those Carolina connections! I like LaFrentz, I have no idea about his health but he is a very versatile player who can run, shoot, pass, and block. But I agree with the rest on what his price should be at this point in his career.

Raef is crazy inconsistent. he drove Dan Issel out of his mind when he was coaching him and my buddy in Denver used to say Raef would seriously drift for big portions of games, like Gazy.

Gotta have one of the coolest names ever tho!

I'm from Kansas so I saw Raef throughout his career and I would never describe him as a "drifter" but he always was more of a "finesse" player who loved to shoot kind of like a poor man's Dirk... Anyway, just looking at his numbers from last year he put up some impressive stats--especially his high fg% and ft% combined with a good number of rbs and blks...I'll take him!

Actually, I said that because I don't see us really bringing in any "non-Larry-Brown" players. He has enough to work with as it is. Your summary was accurate.

yeah, maybe we'll end up trading TT's expiring contract for him...he's signed longterm enough for the Knicks to be interested i think.

We're talking about a scenario in which Boston lets him go.

I am not opposed to LaFrentz if we are talking about a short term LLE. He has to be better than Sundov.
