i think josh smith would be a great fit for NY
showed his stuff towards the end of the season, 10 blks in 1 game
he is a solid defensive player and very exciting on offense

i think he has 13/10/4/2.5 capability

what would a good trade be to bring him to NY

There is no smiley for it, but I'm seriously shakin my head right now...
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I actually think Smith would fit into our team. Start him with Ariza backing him up. We dont have much to offer them, but they do need a pg and at least one pf, so maybe Crawford, Sweetney and JYD (maybe some cash and a 2nd rounder) for Harrington and Smith. That works under the cap. They might say no because of JYD's contract, but he gives them a very good veteran presence around all the rooks they have, plus they get a starting pg and pf.

We would be playing Harrington out of position at pf, but I think the upgrade at sf will be very big with Smith there. Besides, if Frye proves himself, he could play the pf spot.

listen and i'm going to say it one time and one time only.

we love trevor ariza. we shouldn't trade our baby right now. let him grow. he may end up retiring a Knick.

is josh smith really that better than ariza. the answer is NO.

we love ariza. There is just no way to explain it.

No doubt, and I agree 100%. I didnt put Ariza in my trade, and I dont want him traded. But he aint ready to start yet. Agree?

Ariza & Nate Rob might be enough from a talent standpoint, but i don't see ATL giving up on Smith so soon...he has superstar potential.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I have no comment for that, except for this actual sentence.

I said I have no comment. I'm learning to curtail my comments. I'm not justifying that trade and this entire thread with an actual response, b/c I'd feel filthy actually discussing it. It would be like discussing a Disney movie, or how the Mets are gonna make the postseason, or how the Bush administration is good for America...

Catch my drift?

^ see previous post.

I'd like to answer, but I'm seriously just not going there. It's better for both of us if someone else answers it for you.

I'll say this much though - Josh Smith is on the Atlanta Hawks.

Take that for what it's worth.
