if not, id rather sign him in jackie butler's spot. i liked this kid coming out of nc state, very long and athletic, scrappy, he just came out a tad to early. he put on 10 pounds--hes very much in the mold of what i think they want going on more athletic disruptive players with long arms, quick jumping ability, tenacious mentality, he comes from a program that emphasizes defense and rebounding, he just came out to soon. he did very well in all of the SL--he came in at almost 6-10 245 compared to 228 when he came out for the draft 2 years ago at 19.
We already have a more advanced Butler in Sweetney Butler is to slow, this kid is more athletic better defensively. I know its to late to go get an eddie badsen, but to add josh powell with frye upfront gives us a longer younger more athletic base.

Butler has a special place waiting for him in the NBDL. No reason to lose Butler because you want to sign another player. Just leave him in the NBDL for a season. As of that player, I don't know about him but if he is 6'10" he is a candidate for us...
