well steven a was interviewing him and played a clip of what LB said to steve a before the show regarding him, Iverson started crying saying how much he lved LB and how LB is in his book the greatest coach ever, he said not only did LB help improve iversons game, but he improved him as a person as well

I hope LB has the same affect on marbury cause if AI can buy into what LB preaches...so can marbury

I gotta catch that one when (and if) it repeats. S.A. Smith tells it like it is, and doesn't give a damn what ANYONE thinks about it. I can definitely identify with that.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

AI is all heart...that's all i'm gonna say...plays hard every minute he's on the floor...i hope LB can turn some of our guys into that type of player

Even LB couldn't get him to practice very often. He's from the Derrick Coleman school of thought which says, " you can have it in the game or practice, but you can't have both."

I was shocked tho at the huge impact LB had on iverson, i knew it was bigm, but to see AI sob and be quiet for liek 2mins was truly something...AI has changed alot and he isnt bad as somemight say...i hope marbury can soak up whatever he can from LB

a guy who gives you 27 ppg, plays defense, & hustles his butt off every game while playing injured, & i kinda think he deserves some time off practice...let's see anyone on this team do that & i'd have no problem w/them taking some practice days off too.

if you learn anything from this its that both those guys care and love what they do. Iverson has as much heart and toughness as anyone in the game, and you might say the same for Larry.

As far as the show goes, it's not anything that hasn't been done before. Hell, Rome is Burning is better than that, and nobody watched that. That said, I'm a big fan of SAS on 1050 with BT.

AI is not Stephon Marbury. Don't get it twisted. Can Brown have an effect on STeph's game - absolutely. But don't expect similar results. Different players we're talkin about. Same goes for Crawford. There's no guarantee that he can change anyone. Why do you think Brown ends up getting rid of so many players in the first place?
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

no doubt, i'm not even trying to compare AI to Marbury...Answer's in another league as far as i'm concerned...but i do hope LB can get Marbury working hard on the defensive end, something he hasn't really done so far on any consistent basis during his NBA career.

Well, chasing you wife down the street naked with a gun is not exactly good press!LOL

Really, the world has caught up with AI over time. He busted on the scene with a different attidude than most, and was troubled. Im sure there was predudice, but he was an ass at times too! He mellowed, the world has seen him as a hard player with enourmous talent and has grown up a bit.

Too bad the trade went through for CWebb for them last year. By now there would have been AI to NY rumors. Porbabley could have had him for JC, Sweetney, Penny and some other stuff to help their salary cap. But C'est La Vie.

If they had not made the playoffs. If they were in need of salary dumps, if AI demanded to play for LB again after crying on the radio, its a possibility. I just said there would be rumors.

I am definitely an AI fan...I was an AI fan after he appeared on Chris Rock...the kid is real...I'm a marbs fan as well, I like the PG that gets me 20 and 10 as opposed to the 30, but that's just how I like to play the game.

Also, one thing he mentioned was that he led the league in steals and never got defensive player of hte year honors, then his boy L Hughes does it and gets accolades...that that was interesting when we've just had that conversation on steals per game.

Also, he mentioned that LB is the only coach that says he doesn't play defense.

Interesting...interesting.

While I think the show was more AI than StevenASmith, it was refreshing to see these types of questions asked and answered.

Ai is the man...with LB on SAS this week (tonight?) I fully expect Marbs and Zeke to be on the show before the season begins (it's filmed in NYC).

AI is the man...and so is Starbury!

1050 with BT is wayyy better than his show. Nothing special. I watched it, wasn't blown away.
