"It appears Calvin Booth's stay with the Milwaukee Bucks will be a short one. Booth, whom the Bucks acquired from Dallas in a trade involving Keith Van Horn in February, is expected to be released by the team on Tuesday. That is when the NBA will allow its teams to sign free agents and, under a one-time opportunity, release a player and not have his salary count against the team's luxury cap." Racine Journal-Times

I'd prefer to see if the Blazers are going to waive Theo Ratliff.

hes not the best but hes 7 feet can block and rebound for the minutes in the game that Frye and James aren't out there.

The only question is can he be had for the LLE?

Theo probably wont come for the LLE though, with Booth we have a shot.

If we can get Booth at a bargain, he may be of some use. I'd prefer Theo too, though.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Not too many teams will give Theo Ratliff any piece of the MLE. I think we'd have a chance with the LLE. Not sure if he likes or hates Larry though. He did get traded for Mutombo when he was injured one time.

But, there's no way I give money and or roster space to Booth. I'd rather play Jackie and Frye at center.

Booth is an upgrade over Sundov.

Ratliff will get a MLE contract or at the very least a good portion of it from any contending team that needs that piece in the middle to block shots & rebound...he would have been a good choice for us w/LB coming in...too bad we don't have the MLE anymore to offer.

I think its not unrealistic that ratliff comes here for the LLE. He was one of Larry's favorte guys, and really thrived until he got hurt and subsequently traded.

ratliff would be collecting $9-$10mm regardless, so its not impossible.

ratliff, davis, booth (IN THAT ORDER)

for the LLE if they're waived.

i think we HAVE to make a move like that for this season. big game and frye may have foul problems so we need an experienced veteran in those cases.

JUST SAY NO THANKS to elden campbell tho.

I remember that they used to say Calvin Booth had a very high basketball IQ... but just didn't have a very athletic body.

It would seem that his IQ has declined somewhat, at least in the eyes of scouts.

Calvin Booth anyone?
