Aloha Means Hello
I've gotten a plethora of e-mails over the past week from concerned readers who saw an internet report that I'm leaving ESPN.

The rumors of my demise have been slightly exaggerated.

I have accepted a position as a professor of intercultural conflict resolution at BYU-Hawaii. The campus is located on the north shore of Hawaii, and has 2000 students from 56 different countries.

This has been a decade-long dream of mine. As many of you may know, I got my juris doctorate in international law from Georgetown in 2000, a masters in conflict analysis and resolution from George Mason, did some work for the UN in Northern Ireland and have felt strongly, since the events on 9/11, that at some point I needed to return to the world of diplomacy.

However, I won't be saying goodbye to ESPN.

I love the NBA and have enjoyed writing about the league and will continue to do so, just on a reduced basis.

I will continue covering the NBA, focusing on the NBA draft, for ESPN on a weekly basis starting in September and then full-time in April, May and June. I will continue to travel to important NBA draft events like the Chicago pre-draft camp and will also keep making my yearly trips overseas looking for the next Dirk, Manu or Yao.

ESPN.com will be expanding its overall coverage plans for the NBA including increased offerings for Insider subscribers.

Look for my next report, this time from Hawaii, in about a month.

I like Chad and am actually sad that he will be writing less. He sure bashes the Knicks a lot, but everything else he writes is very insightful. Heck, most of the times he bashes the Knicks is kinda true. But overall, he's an excellent journalist.

Agreed. CF is good for the NBA. What really gets some guys, I think, are his "power rankings"- and for all its worth they're still his opinions.

The demise of the human race, or the knicks was not about Ford. His anti knicks stance was more correct in the last few years than fabricated.

He really is not worse than most of the writers out there.

The dude is certainly qualified in many areas and his job locale really does not suck!

Im sure we can all bash his replacement in due time for what ever spew he puts out.

You know for a while I though it was always Betty OR Veronica. But the more I thought it out, I realize that with the right circumstances, the right mood, the right drugs, it may just be possible to have Betty and Veronica! Start with Betty, get Veronica worked up, then create a bit of a jelousy thing going, get it competitive so veronica is definitly on board, it could work!

But if your gonna comic book Phuch, jessica rabbit all the way!

Its not so bad we taking about the knicks like we actually know sheet, but now comic book girls? And high school girls with no hips? maybe real men at least can lust after "wonder Women!"

And face it, Im not really man enough for Jessica Rabitt either.

I thought the Jessica Alba shrine was messed up, but that was cookies and milk in comparison!

Maybe Dido is right, hop on the mother ship and come back when there is somthing actually tangable!
