you have Tim Duncan jr who can easily play C, they could've drafted Sean May to play PF as a perfect compliment and they went after what really was a foreign role player, a guy who wasnt going to be a big time nba player at pick 11 without doing all the homework on him--as a fan as an owner--how the F can these guys make any more decisions?
You cant waste pick 11 man, how can you let Sean May pass?
I really thought the draft's top 5 were
Bogut
Bynum
May
Granger
Diogu
they had great positioning, especially after LA took Bynum and Tor took Villanueva--t May made so much sense--he was the best player on the best team in CBB--came in measured well and showed solid athletic ability at the combines-what are these f guys thinking? how can you tell your fans we get nothing?
then they shoot their mle load on keyon dooling when they couldve saved it for a bruiser like reggie evans. oh well

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

They were smart enough to take Howard over Okafor.

that was weisbrod, i thought he was doing a real good job up until the point he killed their season with Mobley for Christie. he got very, very good value for T mac, he drafted DH and moved in at 20 for Jameer-he made some really good decisions, but from reading it sounds like he ruffled feathers and in combination with wrecking the season by trading mobley--they cut him loose and formed a dual GM. With a player like Dwight Howard and having parts like Grant Hill, Steve Francis, Turkogulo etc.. they should've spent the money this offseason and brought in someone serious.

for all i heard, read and think, any franchise built around steve francis is sure to be a disaster.
they should get rid oh im asap and build around howard. they can afford to do that nearly from scratch,; the guy's so young !

Toronto was in a bad spot on draft nite. The guy who they wanted to take (Frye) told him no. There were no takers for Rose and the 7th pick, now their concern has to be signing Bosh to a long term deal. And they are sort of strap for cash. I think that franchise is in a little trouble.
As far as Atlanta goes, ha, Billy Knight is flying by ear and a dream. Do you want to know what getting Marvin Williams and Stoudamire, the talk of getting Johnson or Curry done for ticket sales, answer not a damn thing. I just called for pricing and seating availablity and the lady actually told me are you kidding. Where do you want to sit. We both laugh.

Briggs I agree, but all teams just need to stop drafting euro players in the first round, my suggestion is this. If a player drafted in the first round does not come to play, then when and if he decides to come to the NBA he has to pay a fee( a hefty one) to the team that drafted him, unless that team agrees for him to stay in europe and develop, but that is what the NBDL is for now.
I think this is BS, my son is a orlando magic fan and he was screaming draft night for them to take warrick or sean may, he hated the vazques pick and still does... what a frigging waste..

Orlando needs to cut out the fat all around because they have some nice young players to build around. Jameer and Dwight are their future.

Grant Hill should be playing for a contender because he wont be around very long he's what 32,33. He's still playing at a high level, but how many years can he do that for?

Grant Hill and Steve Francis need to be somewhere else to help a team win, and let the youngsters develop as they pick high in the lottery again next year. They are a team that needs to blow up, because it wont help them at all to make the playoffs, and they really blew an oppurtunity to add that 3rd youngster to the mix this past draft.

I don't know that they were offering Rose and the 7th pick. That seesm like something the Knicks woulda been interested in especially when Isiah wanted Bynum and Frye. Granted 30 million is alot for a draft pick, but Rose is a good player, hes just unnecassary on a team with 30 swingmen.

would anyone trade an expiring contract for Grant Hill. His contract expires after 2007 with H20 & Taylor. I would! we could always use an upgrade over TT & Ariza at SF. It would be much better than adding Walker or adding another digruntled guard like steven francis.
