Zeke and Dolan have no reason not to improve the payroll. Throwing money out of the window to enrich players who are not willing to earn their pay is not the way to go. Out of the last 4 years, the professional teams that have been champion in their respective sports have all had low payroll. Spurs, New England, and Boston Red Sox have all proven that you don't need to spend a lot of money to win. In fact all the teams with the highest payroll have greatly disappointed their fans.

Zeke and Dolan have to make the decision to correct this problem. We have been blessed with an amnesty that can possibly freeup a lot of money, and some expiring contracts that we can also use. Going cheep is the way to go from this point on. Basketball is not an individual sport like Golf nor Tennis, it is an organized team sport that requires participation from all players and coaches. Spend wisely and great things will happen.

its was the 2nd highest. Consider the fact that Fenway holds 38k and Yankee Stadium holds 56k and its a wash.

Sorry man, bad arguement.

and....? you say a team doesnt need to spend alot to win, but when someone pointed out that boston spent around $100mil also(and is in no way a small market team), you just say thy didnt spend more than the highest payroll team. big deal, neither did the rest of the teams.

Dude!!! when you have the highest payroll and fail to make the playoffs at the least, it is a bad thing. The Knicks had the highest payroll in the league dude....

Way to point out the obvious Dido.

Who knew, apparently having a bloated payroll with aged veterans who don't play up to the money is a bad thing.

A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

I can't bash the Yanks too much, because they may not have won the big dance, but they were in the playoffs
