He is on a Clipper team that has good potential to become a playoff team next season.....on the other hand they should have made the playoffs last year.



The Knicks have the contracts to trade for Brand. This could be a potential Trade deadline thing especially if the Clippers are stil a losing team.

The Knicks would be nasty again because Brand plays angry and has been known to give plenty of cheap shots during games. Him and Jerome James could bring memories of Oak and Ewing in reverse.

well, its been a month so its time for another Elton Brand thread. We are certainly closer to having the pieces now than we were a few months ago.

The only thing that would make Brand available is if the Clippers are losing and they are boring. So long as Sterling is selling tickets he's pretty happy. Dunleavy may or may not have them thinking playoffs, but losing Simmons hurts. It looks like a lot more of the same in Clippers land.

By about midseason I think an offer of Sweetney, Nate Robinson and TT's expiring deal might have them considering it. Nate would put people in the seats, Sweetney gives them a low cost replacement and TT is 3 months rental until the next round.

While Nate will certainly be a fan favorite thats a no brainer.

Which could make him a valuable trading chip in a trade for Brand. He can make games exciting and if that means he has value to the clips for Brand, we've gotta do it.

That would make the Knicks a real tough team, especially with Larry in charge.

Q-Rich/Craw
Ariza/Lee/JYD
Brand/Rose/Taylor
Frye/JJ/Butler

That's why we have to hold onto the expiring contracts until the trade deadline. If no good deal can be made, let them expire.
