Whats going on with them? We should be looking at both, neither are MLE players and both require trades to acquire. I think we should offer Curry something nice, but short, and hope his heart is good.

yes to Magloire, but New Orleans is overvaluing him right now, so it's probably impossible. Maybe at the deadline TT and JJ and a pick for Jamaal Magloire would work.

so magloire would be making around 18mil per yr for that to work. i dont see new orleans wanting JJ in any way, but i could see TT and a pick or two, depending on how well magloire is playing at the time.

There was a report awhile back that the Knicks were in the mix trying to acquire Magloire.

Haven't heard anything about Zeke going after Curry. The Bulls and Hawks are the only teams vying for his services I believe.

I recall reading that New Orleans talked to several teams about Magliore, incliding NYK, but ther were no takers on a deal.
Maybe they believe some team would actually cut their own throats to get him. They should get Scott LayDown on the phone.

Curry sounds like a more immediate workable deal. His heart condiiton can and will be used as leverage in any deal coming the Bulls' way for him IMO.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Th same heart condiiton that could backfire us if it happened to be serious. remember, his requesti for insurrance has been rejected by the league so... there's still some risks, and i m personnaly fed up to see our best players, not to say the most expensive ones, sitting on the bench in street clothes.

Hes getting his own insurance though. AND we would sign him short term with incentives.

Curry is done. He took what, several months to find an expert to say he could play.

Not to get political, but they had doctors saying Terry Schiavo was sentient. Autopsy showed he was brain dead and blind.

Point is, you look long enough, you'll find a doctor to say anything.

And, after Vin Baker had his ticker fixed, wasn't he supposed to be re-energized? 12th man couldn't get off our bench!

We have enough people with heart problems (TT et al), we don't need to add to the mix.

The thing is if we do get lets say Curry or Maglore, what do we do with Frye? We drafted him as out center of the future, then got a backup of the future for him in James, but if we get a starting quality center, then does Frye even play C for us? And if is not even given a chance to play C that pick was a big misuse of resources considering we already have a lot of powerforwards, and there were arguably better PF's on board.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Frye is 4, potentially in the mold of a Tim Duncan- warning, I am not saying Frye could ever hope to be as talented as TD, just similar game.

Regardless, I'm wondering if Frye will even be in the league in 3 years.

Lets say you get Magliore- he is the 5 and you put frye at the 4. JJ comes in off the bench to back up Magliore-

I personally don't care about neither of the two. I want to see what we have with what we currently have except at the PF position. If we are trading a couple of our PFs for Magloire, I would say go for it....

How do you figure somthing like that? That would be a total disaster. We took him with the 8th pick and he wount even be in the league in 3 years?

Regardless of what one thinks of IT choice of Frye, since we took him the plan must be to develop him. If IT was that wrong and Frye does not work out, then he should be gone along with Frye. But I don't think Frye was THAT bad of a pick to be out of the league in 3 years.

I'm sorry, this is ridiculous. Magliore came into this league at the 18th pick, an unheralded big man, 6-11 250. If Frye was the four year veteran putting up Magloire's numbers and Magloire was the rookie - would you be writing off Magloire already?

Dude, if Frye was another team, people on this board would be saying man we should have drafted that guy instead of ______. That's the way of the world. The Knicks wanted to draft Magloire for awhile, he took time but developed. Big men take time.

I'm not writing anyone off- just meant 2 things- Frye is not a center, so having him shouldn't necessarily stop us from potentially getting Magliore and Frye is a big question mark, just like ever rookie is. Sweets was pick 8 and has been in the league and he might not be anything more than clarence weatherspoon- a decent role player, but no star.

Knicks fans never appreciate the talents that they have....They always crave what other teams have instead of their own. Ewing was not loved in N.Y, Starks until he dunked on Jordan was hated, and many others....Give our boys a freaking chance, especially the new ones

YOu think we can autopsy Curry before we sign him?

Isiah is very thorough!
