Theres optimist and theres homers. Neither of them hold a candle to you bonn. I wonder what Mustafabb would have said about Larry Brown coming in??? Probably trade Frye-Nate & Lee for Rasheed because we need more Battle tested veterans.

Woody Page was on 1st and 10 and pulled out like 10 sheets of paper all showing the amount of games won the next season after Larry Brown was hired. There were like 3teams with 20wins or more. Some more teams with 6-10 and some college teams that never did anything until Larry got there and weren't the same after he left. This was after some guy ripped the Knicks apart after the question was if Larry Brown would make the Knicks a championship team in the future. The guy ripped the salary they are offering, ripped Isiah for screwing up the roster, ripped Marbury, And ripped Larry Brown. But Woody Page said the Knicks will make the playoffs and this will be a great signing for NY or something like that.

I hate labels its not like once you're an optimist you have to stay one no matter what scenario is and vice-versa with the pessimistic side.

I can see guys like JYD and Malik Rose getting more playing time because of their defense.

And Ariza... His D will improve exponentially under Larry's tutelage.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I dont think I can say anything differntly then anyone else has already said but today is really a great day in Knicks history. One of the best coaches in NBA history has decided to coach his hometown Knicks, maybe the first sign of really good luck the Knicks have had in YEARS. Along with Larry Brown the Knicks have an exciting cast of players that range from exciting rookies to a star player in his prime to expiring contracts to solid role players.

The makings of a good team are starting to show and the first thing that every good team has is good coaching to go along with the roster to win - The Knicks have finally accomplished the first part of that equation with Larry Brown and hopefully his teaching will get these players to learn how to win. Awesome job Isiah on waiting this thing out.

To me the most interesting aspect of the negotiations, which may never be discussed publicly, is whether or not Larry is able to secure language in the contract that grants him some authority over player personnel decisions.

Sound like Reezy?

Brown is known, too, for falling in and out of love with players - his own, and those on rival teams. He had [Tim] Thomas traded to Milwaukee in March 1999. "I was young and I didn't really know what Larry was trying to do for myself, on and off the court," said Thomas, who was 20 when he entered the league, and perhaps not ready for Brown's perfectionism. "As you get older, you really appreciate that. He's a great coach."

Don't think a coach of LB's stature would accept it any other way. I'd imagine Zeke would have final say on transactions, but LB will get a lot of imput.

geeze, am I the only one that still sees a 34 win roster with the addition of 3 rookies an guy that shot under 40% for the last 3 years?

At least now we can totally eliminate coaching from the equation and I wont have to hear people say LB's rotations are the reason the KNicks arent winning more games.

I'm glad we got him, but we have a loooong way to get before we are even considered a good or playoff team. Lets just hope LB is commited to teaching the young players and not trading them for Eric Snow, Kenny Thomas and other guys he's more "comfortable" with.

I believe that Brown will address the issue we have at PF. I don't know if Rose, JYD, Mo T, and Sweetney will be around for long

how do you figure 34wins? last year we won 37-39 with wilkins & herb coaching with no 2nd option once crawford went down, now we have Q, kurt thomas at center, now we got guys who play hard like nate & lee, and TT having the worst year of his career! now we have larry brown!!!!!!!!!!

thats at least 40-42wins given! I think they win 43-45
