now that we know for sure that Larry will be our headcoach, who will he pick as his assistants?
I believe that he will at the least keep Herb and AcGwire, what about Roger Hinds, George Glimth, Malone, and Greg Brittenhim??? Will Brown bring any of the names below to be part of his staff, especially Garfield Heard???

does Larry have his signature guy the way Phil Jackson has Tex Winters and Lenny has Dick Helm? If not then I think Herb will be his top assistant and hopefully Aguire, Glymth & Malone are retained because each guy is valuable and have a great relationship with the young players on this team.

Heard's affliation with Brown was first as an assistant with the Indiana Pacers in 1993-94. He spent four seasons with the Pacers, helping the team to consecutive trips to the Eastern Conference Finals. When Brown moved to the head coaching position in Philadelphia in 1997-98, he took Heard with him as his lead assistant. The Sixers enjoyed a nine-game improvement from their previous season. During the 1998-99 year, he joined Alvin Gentry (another Brown disciple) in Detroit and helped the Pistons advance to the playoffs with a 29-21 record. http://www.nba.com/coachfile/garfield_heard/index.html?nav=page

where's Gar Heard now? will Larry bring him in as top assistant? I dont think so, it looks like Herb is going to be the guy and should be so he gets the chance of landing a HC job in the future

report has it that Heard is fired by Detroit also. Flip is looking into bringing in his own assistants. It seems like this guy is Brown's good luck charm...whenever they are together, they endup in the finals. I think that Herb will be the second man after Heard by virtue of experience.

It looks like Herb is a definite, and I'd pencil in Gar Heard as well. Aguirre and Glymph are Isiah's boys so they have a good shot. I'm sure Larry will want to bring at least a couple more of his own guys.

As long as the Knicks retain Aguire and Malone. I don't care who else stays or goes, if Shur would have remained on the bench I would say him as well. To me, I can tell what Aguire and Malone are doing with the young guys.
