He was in Van Gundy's dog house for not playing good defense, will he see any minutes under Brown? He is more like Elden Campbel was in Detroit, but Elden is 2 to 3" taller. That kid is a pretty good offensive player, but he needs minutes. Will Larry consider starting him at PF over Sweetney and Frye???? because with him on the court, he offers something that James will not, that is scoring. Personally, I would love to see Frye as our starting PF, but Larry is good enough to know who his starters will be.

if he plays some defense, he could be a corliss williamson type of player off the bench. If he doesn't, it can and will be brutal for him...

Yeah, best case scenario is the Corliss role. But if he's lazy and not in shape, he'll be a member of Larry's dog house, just like he was a member of Jeff Van Gundy's in Houston.

I am hoping that all of our players do well, because if they do, that will mean more exciting basketball and a lot of wins.

If MT plans to get ant PT from LB, he'll have to play consistent D.
That pretty much goes for the whole roster.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I think that JYD will see a lot of minutes at the SF and Center position a la Ben Wallace style. He is an energy guy and Larry admires guys like him.

MoT will be just fine. Van Gundy liked him and he plays good defense when he's in shape and grabs boards. Trust me on this...he's more of a sure thing than TT and is in a tie with sweets for sure thing in shape status.

I will go on record and say this, Frye will be our starting PF if not at the start of the season, but after 10 games.

I could see Mo T coming off the bench as a player used strictly for post up offense. He will have to work hard on D to get significant playing time...

I don't know about that, Dido. Frye will have to play a lot of defense, stop fouling a lot. An article included Sweetney in the guys that Brown would love once he came to NY. We haven't mentioned Sweetney in the list of players that will benefit from having Brown. Larry could make Sweetney work hard enough to finally make it our solid starting PF.

I still want to see Frye & Sweetney start with James off the bench gives us good balance. Last thing I want to see is James stsrting with Sweetney next to him making us the slowest team ever assembled

Sweetney is big, but he's not that slow- he gets up and down the court quickly. KT was slow.

Yea, but LB has to put five guys on the court and there aren't five guys on this roster that play good d.

He'll put his best players out there as best he can. Mo has some skills.
