he's old.
he's almost done.
BUT he can give us a valuable 5-10 mins a night at the C spot.

should we bring him in for ONE year as insurance?

only reason i ask this is b/c i think butler will be in the NBDL and the only other center we have is frye, and dale would be insurance if frye has a tough time adjusting.

and we can EASILY throw him in to any deal at the break or just outright release him if we don't need him. it's only $1.5 mil.

I think Dale Davis has 2 years left at 10 mpg. Personally, I wouldn't mind this if we got him cheap. I'd rather see him on the bench than vin baker, so we get him for that kind of role then yes. Also, he'd be good in practice to toughen up frye and sweets. I actually don't think he'll come THAT cheap though.
