Kemp Comeback. Why not bring him to camp and see if he's for real. Theoretically gives us a real 6'11" player that can dominate at PF or Center if he's got his mind right. And if he's saying that he's not about the money, then sign him to the 1 million dollar exception. He can at least fill Vin Baker's role on the bench and in practice if anything. Larry might be able to get something out of Kemp.

Keep Sean Kemp the F away from this team.

Thank you for your consideration.

Kemp and the word dominate should never be used in the same sentence, unless it goes like this:

"Kemp had times in his career where he would dominate opposition, but now he is just a fat **** with 20 little babies running around."

He was my favourite player...but as I have said many of times, we have PF's to trade, we can't get another one.

ShAWN kEMP = rICKY WILLIams
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Kemp can replace Baker allright, as being the old, 15th man with former substance abuse problems trying to get his life together. Doesnt every team need one like that just for PR and inspiration?
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Not only is Kemp an overweight, recovering drug addict, he also will be 36 this coming year. None of this is good for a player who relied on dominant physical ability to get it done.

Yeah, if he were a cerebral player then you kinda could see where it might could work but the guy relied on his physical abilities.

I remember a game where Kemp continued to stand in the lane on defense, and Doc Rivers kept yelling for him to get out of the lane, to which Kemp responded with a "Where am I supposed to stand?" look on his face. The announcers couldn't stop laughing.

Shawn Kemp is 35 years old. If any of you read the article, his trainer says he is now 80-90% of his peak '96-'97 shape. He is now down to 280 pounds and working hard. Like the article says, it took 35 years for him to get in trouble with the law, and he swears it'll take another 35 years for it to happen again. If we signed him, it would be for nothing, veteran's minimum. He so wants to prove himself that he is willing to earn nothing until the end of the season, based on accomplishments and objectives. He can bring some experience, and play the center better than sundov can. If we have an open spot, I'm all for it.

All that I'm saying is that if there is an open spot, he deserves the chance. There is no risk involved unless you just cut/traded someone in order to free up that spot for him. Again, this is due to the fact that he is willing to agree to a contract that will pay him nothing unless he does well.
