i would like to
see a trade with
the blazers now that
we have 3 quality point
guards and all those
undersized fowards so
why not do this being that
this package is beign shopped
around:

nyk sends:
harrington
ward

in return......

port sends:
dale davis

money wise should work out here also....
this trade idea makes a lot
of sense now....we get rid of the
clutter at the point guard position
but jvg likes having 3 point guards
on his roster so the knicks will resign brunson.....
we get a good back up at both center
and power foward but mainly focused
at the center position...no more concern
about the back up center if davis comes here.......
sounds good to me......

what ya think????????

I like the deal from a Knicks standpoint but Portland would want more.
Come strong or not at all!

Why would Portland do this though? They need Davis out West to battle the big guys.

they do it because
in return they
get to fill the
vacant spots left at
the point guard position
greg anthony left
strickland is on his
way out so portland
get a quality pg to
fill those shoes alog
with a 6 ' 9 pf to fill
dale davis spot who's complaining
out there......i don't see why portland
wouldn't do it

Well, Portland traded Anthony, and they don't seem to want to retain Rod, so they might be content with Stoudemire and Barkely at the point. They also have Pippen in fill in there as well.

With Sabonis most likely retiring, who will play the center position for them? Davis is far more capable than Othella at playing the 5. Essentially they would be trading their starting center for an OK backup point guard and someone to backup their best player.

I woule love to do it but Davis is just another rebounder and at this stage in his career( he is like 33) he won't be developing a offensive game. We need a big body who can score in the post, not just another rebounder....

i would like to see a Port. n Ny trade but the reason i think it hasn't been made cuz Port. is waiting for Sabonis to make his decision on weather he should retire. That way they'll know to either keep Davis n give him his mins. or trade him wit the addition of Rod,which i would die for to happen.Ny could give them Knight to take Davis place,Harrington cuz i think this is Kemp's last year there if they don't take the west,Ward to back up Mouse cuz Barkley dont seem ready espeacially for the playoffs, then Ny throw's in either one.Cash, rights to Weis, future pick,Wright or Spoon.
