Tim Thomas credits Brown for making him a far better defensive player than he ever was coming out of college and high school, and for helping him understand the team concept -- two pillars of Brown's sacred hoopsology.

more sad than funny
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

never forget one thing, in a contract year, even the worst of the scrub can have a good year.

I hope that nobody will pay him high $$$ based on his "potential" (can't help laughing when we talk about TT's potential after 8 yrs into the league).

I hope nobody will be lured by him, he has no flame, no desire no talent.

He should be ashamed of his career and pay back the teams he faked for. but it doesn't work that way, happily for that kind of parasites.

I'm so sick of listening to Thomas. He talks so much but never backs it up. His comment about being in the best shape of his life reminds me of his boxing comments from last year. TT nobody cares what you do during the offseason, only about what you do during the season.

That being said. TT is just the type of guy to have a career year during a contract year. That would be a great boon for us come the trade deadline. Root for this guy. Personally I am putting our differences aside and am making him my favorite player until the trade deadline. Where's my Milwaukke TT throw back?
I just hope that people will like me

Exactly. If TT puts up reasonably solid numbers, his trade value will sky rocket.

TT is working out in Paterson NJ this week, his hometown. He was in the Patersin YMCA doin these drills where you carry 40 pounds up a flight of steps and then back down. Thats 1 rep. A set is 10 reps and he did 10 sets!!!!!!!! Do you realize how difficult that is? Thats why he is saying hes probably in the best shape of his life.

If Timmy added 20 pounds of muscle it wouldnt matter, b/c his heart would only weight 20 grams...

tim's a good player. neva had a cross word to say about him.

he's always been a team player. if the league wasn't so ***** last year tim's game would have been better. but he got lit with a bunch of offensive fouls. mainly do to a guy going right in front of him and flopping. since he was brandishing a power game. refs just zero'd in on tim with the whistle.

thing is he has a finesse game too and he did not make the transition to that game till after the all star break.

I guess he was better than Ariza since neither coach gave Trev the starting nod.

He's a clown.

He's been long enough in this league to rpove people wrong.

I hoped that it would change in NY, and welcomed him with opened arms.

I rooted for him and preyed he could breakout.

It didn't happen. If one can't play with heart in NY, it must have no heart at all.

it's pretty scary to think just how INEPT of a defensive player TT was before LB got to him then. *shudders*

I don't speak english welll enough to read between the lines and know for sure whether you're being sarcastic or not.

Thing is you'recomapraing a 19 yo rookie to a 9yrs seasoned vet, with a so big contract that you can't let him rot on the bench.

I'm sure they neever lost hope with TT, not faith in him, but in the fact that showcasing him could help the knciks get some more trade value.

At least, that's what I think.

The coach doesn't start the players who make the most money nor do they start the players an entire season just to increase their trade value.
