Don (New York): How long do you think it will take for Larry Brown to sign up for the Knicks job? Once he does, do you see the Knicks trying to move Marbury to appease Larry? Do you see any other personnel moves on the Knicks before the start of the season?

Chad Ford: Not long. I think he'll be with the Knicks in one capacity (head coach) or another (consultant) within the next few weeks. Then again, predicting what Larry Brown will do has become a dangerous thing. No one knows but Larry and he changes his mind every 30 minutes. If he takes over, I don't think they'll keep Marbury. Larry reportedly tried to have him kicked off the Olympic team. I think there would be some major changes to the roster. The good news for Knicks fans is that I'm told LB loves Nate Robinson.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chad (Detroit Rock City): Chaddy Boy!! Would Trader Joe trade Rasheed to relieve some of the headaches for Flip and make some way for Darko and/or Jason Maxiell?

Chad Ford: Interesting. You never know. Larry and Isiah both love Sheed. Who knows if Flip really wants to deal with him. If they traded him for Tim Thomas (who is in the last year of his contract) the Pistons would be in great cap shape next summer -- but they'd also struggle a little more while Darko and Maxiell got their legs under them.

I don't know if I would want to make that deal. I like Sheed, but we already have enough PFs on our roster...Frye is a clone of Sheed without the attitude...

No brainer. Don't think we could do better for TT than this, but Detroit is crazy to make this move - this is a guy that put them over the top.

I think it takes a lot more than TT for this to happen - would take at least a future 1st besides, and maybe more.

Rasheed Wallace is a 30 year old role player. Hes a good pf at 15 and 8, but we could make more happen and I certainly would not be giving up a first rounder for him. I do like him though, and he would put us into contention immediately.

agreed CT...it's a no brainer, but i can't imagine DET making the deal w/o those additional assets coming from the Knicks as you just mentioned, in which case it might not be a great deal for the Knicks to make.

This was Chad Ford getting into your heads...

Wise up guys.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

You're joking right?

At least we know that Pierce is on the block, Marion could be moved if they resign JJ, and that the Clippers are known to be cheap.

I don't see Brand getting moved though. And Ainge would never trade Pierce to a team in the Atlantic. The most realistic of those 3 is the Marion deal.

But my point is that Sheed getting dealt, and specifically to us, is even less realistic than the Pierce one.

I could see Detroit trading Rasheed if Darko turns out to be as good as advertised & Maxiell gives them solid minutes off the bench. Plus, they still have McDyess, and they're going to have to resign Big Ben & Prince soon to some pretty big contracts.

And no, I'm not a closet Nets fan from Detroit if that's your next question.

Alot of ppl disagree, but they couldn't counter with a better idea of who we can trade for TT.

I think we should wait till the deadline to trade TT- we may be able to get more for him then.

It's all wishful thinking, though.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Regardless of the deal or when it happens, i think we do deal Thomas and i would like to deal him for a starting PF. That way we can start Richardson at the SF and Crawford at SG and be potentially strong at all 5 positions with Marbury and James already in place at the 1 and 5.

If this were an option, we'd have to do this deal.

When I hear "TT" I keep thinking of Reno 911...
