His heart isn't insured and he can only get a short term deal of like 2 years from Chicago.

I would definitely be willing to risk big money for a short term deal that expires with Allan Houstons contract on him. And of course the contract has clauses in it that protect us.

Sign and trade for Tim Thomas where he makes like 9 million for 2 years. If it doesn't work out he comes off the cap with Allan Houston. If it does work out and he is healthy its a steal!! Its low-risk High reward.

Especially with Larry in NY, he can get this kid to play like a star, he has the size, skill and potential and it is already partially realized.

i think ANY type of deal for curry would have to include sweets or a pick.

with that said, i WOULD NOT trade sweets for him.

chicago though, really has no reason to accomodate us this time around. unless they get a chip or #1, there's no reason to take back a contract for this year (like tim). they can just let him go.

They could however concentrate on Chandler and let someone else worry about getting something out of Curry.

Sweets and Chandler is a pretty nice pf/c combo, something like

Sweets + Penny + ? for Curry + Piatkowski +?

or

Mo + TT +? for Curry + Davis +? could work too.

Granted they could let someone else sign him and match or lose him for nothing. Curry is not getting that much attention so this is the time to make inquiries.

Besides there's that chicago connection again for Zeke.

not just zeke but curry and craw are best friends.

but again, there's no long term contract on the bulls books that we can take off their hands. sweets and/or a pick would have to be included - pick maybe, but not sweets.

his value is low now, but I would feel very comfortable out bidding someone else money wise if we are only talking 2 years. Its a worthwhile gamble.

Forget about Curry.

A.) He's an offensive force.

B.) He's the OPPOSITE of a defensive force.

C.) Nate Robinson rebounds better than him

D.) End of story.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Yeah, its a good gamble for two years, but you know someone will overpay for him at least for years. The team that takes Curry would be making a huge gamble, and in doing so they must not lose a player thats significant to them because Curry could go down anytime. There is an article on Yahoo about him where the Magics' president talked about how doctors gave Hill the green light and look at how things worked out. I would trade an expiring contract if Curry's contract isn't a very long one, like 2-3 years with maybe an option...

Well, if you see it that way...

But some factors to remember him:

A.) He is a Center

B. He is 6'10"

C. Isn't terrible defender or rebounder, just not great

D. Did I say he's a Center?

Now that we have JJ signed for many years, maybe I would pass, but even with his limitations, Curry would be a nice addition at the right price. Let's not forget that he is young, and has yet to be close his prime. He could (not saying will) learn to play better D and rebound...

A.) He's an offensive force.
OK, so we should forget about him because he is a center and is an offensive force? Interesting.
B.) He's the OPPOSITE of a defensive force.
Ok, this is a rewording of point A. So once again we should forget about him because he is an offensive force.
C.) Nate Robinson rebounds better than him
Nate Robinson has yet to play in a single NBA game and there is no indication he will grab 5-6 rebounds per game.
D.) End of story.
What was this story about again?

Jesus. Cmon guy.

He has offense, but no defense. He's a center that can't average a ****ing single block per game.

He has a heart condition, therefore he's a liability. We already have our starting Center. Be happy with what we have.

Oh, just to reiterate. We were last in the league this past season in blocks, and our rebounding was poor. What we need in a big man is rebounding and defense. Curry provides neither.

Who is that again? Frye or JJ
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

Hey! I remember he had a nice game for us, Im not sure but I think it was against the Lakers. After that everyone was talking about him as a 10 and 6 guy or something.

Wow, those memories make you understand how much the Knicks have lacked a center in recent years...

Curry will sign an offer sheet with the Hawks, and Chicago may or may not match depending how much of the $20 millikon space the Hawks chose to use. NY doesn't have the dollars anyway.
