Assuming Larry Brown becomes coach this year, what players on the roster would Brown want to get rid of through a trade, release or buyout?

Let's just say that if my first name were Bruno I think I'd be withdrawing that offer on the Tribeca coop right about now.

Id like to keep the team as is for now. Im not holding anyone to a win now or fired theme, I personally want to see a solid devlopmental year and if winning 45 games comes with, all the better. If we win 35, thats OK too, as long as we see progression as a team and clearly defined roles.

One big problem has been roster TO. We need to settle in here. Id like to think that we will see the Crawford of the last month of the season, Sweetney toned down and ready to go, marbury with his minutes cut down to prevent any further wear+tear injury, so IF we are ready to go in 2 years, he still is a big part.

Im looking at
James- 20 minutes
Frye- 32 minutes
TT- 20 minutes
JC 30 min
Mar 32 min
Taylor 24 min
Sweetney 24 min
Nate 24 min
Q 24 min
Ariza 12 min

TT , Mo Taylor and James stand out in my mind. The have yet to play with any discipline in their careers to this point. A good thing is that because Brown is so defensive minded he may be a benifit to James and Sweetney who tend to get into foul trouble. I'm sure they've never played in a system like Larry's on that end.

I think he'll have a love/hate relationship with people like Crawford and Steph (esp. Craw) because on the offensive end he can use them in innovative ways but on the defensive side he'll be pulling out his hair if they don't work hard. I think Steph will be willing to work harder than Craw on D.

Lol @ Frye with 32 minutes.

Just out of curiosity, when was the last time a rookie played more than 30 minutes (with the exclusion of guys like Lebron, Melo, etc.)

With Brown in the mix, we have a good chance at making the playoffs, but to be honest, that's just not good enough. I don't mind keeping Sweetney, but Timmy is a piece of ****. Only problem with trading him now, though, is that it would probably behoove Isiah to let Timmy impress other GM's a few weeks into the season, and THEN deal him (contract year = Timmy Fugazy playing harder).

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Problem with that is their's a good possibility that TT ends up in Larry Brown's doghouse by the time Isiah looks to trade him. Hell, they may even talk about trading Tim before Larry even steps in office.

I think the biggest test will be for Craw. Marbs is Chauncey, so Brown will bring out the best in him, but Craw isn't Rip. Brown's going to have a hard time with Craw. I think this season if Brown coaches we will finally figure out Craw's basketball IQ.

Crawff will be confused as hell in Brown's system because he was confused playing for Lenny and Herb. Ariza will flourish, and guys like JYD will see a lot of minutes under Brown. I don't know about Mo T, because he doesn't rebound the ball like he should.

Marb will have his best year...drop off on points, but rebound, assists, steals and wins will be much better.
TT will not be around for long

In the beginning, the first 10 games will be a disaster, but after 20 games you will see a lot of progress.

here is a question for you all, when will be able to erase Houston from our roster?>?????

And is that bad? LOL if the right deal came, who wouldn't trade him asap? I would keep TT until the deadline because players like TT play great on contract years. Still, yeah, I see TT having a lot of trouble pleasing Larry. Players like JYD and Rose could play a lot. Who knows if we buy out Allan Houston if Larry comes in. Allan or Penny could play the McDyess role for us...

We may have an nba record here. A player traded away 2 times in 2 different teams by the same coach !

my god, we found something TT is good at. Being traded, that's his true strenght !
