according to hoopshype, the deal is this:

kurt thomas and the draft rights to dijon thompson to the suns for Q and the draft rights to nate robinson.

but on nbadraft.net, the deal is this:

ny acquires Q, the draft rights to nate robinson AND FUTURE CONSIDERATIONS from pheonix for kurt thomas and the draft rights to dijon thompson.

can anybody confirm which trade is the right one?

Official report: Nate, Q + cash considerations for KT and 54.

A search brought me to the Knicks official site. Looks like we did do very well in that Q trade.

http://www.nba.com/knicks/news/richardsonrobinson_050628.html
Isiah Thomas announced today that guard/forward Quentin Richardson, the draft rights to Nate Robinson, the 21st pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, and cash considerations have been acquired from Phoenix in exchange for forward Kurt Thomas and the draft rights to Dijon Thompson, the 54th pick in the 2005 NBA Draft.

Question is, how much cash? Three mil?
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

If I'm not mistaken 3 mil is the limit a team can place in a trade.

I'm thinking the numbers didn't match up perfectly so Pheonix has to sprinkle a couple hundred grand on the scale to balance it out.

That Kurt trade was definately a great trade. They better watch out though. Too many more trades and dudes are gonna think they have something illegal going on......like a little popcorn passed under the table?

Yeah I remember reading that about cash considerations at first, but since no numbers were mentioned, I didn't give it importance. It was a great deal for the Knicks even without the cash, but with it, it makes the deal a little better.

Yeah that's why I guessed 3 mil (because it's the max for cash compensation). As long as we didn't get jerked on the trade deal, I'm cool with it.

It's hard to even think about anything else till the Larry Brown deal is inked, though.

LOL!

I know the Pheonix organization was sick of her, lol.

Brandy is in a slow period in her career so I guess now that her and Q are gonna be in NYC we will have to see her more than I care to see. I never liked her too much. She is a better actor than singer by far.

I bet we'll have to hear her sing the national anthem at least 3-4 times during the regular season! Sheesh!

I don't mind Brandy, she just has to keep the wig outside of MSG...SHE JUST LOOKS HORRIBLE WITH THAT JUNK IN HER HEAD.
