wow, the sonics will have a tough time repeating their last season successs.

Daniel is a good addition to the wiz and should bring steadiness in their backcourt. Nice.

Sonics Lose Daniels To Wizards

ESPN - The Seattle Supersonics have lost another member of their team to free agency.

Guard Antonio Daniels as decided to the Washington Wizards for a five-year $30 million deal.

Tony Dutt, Daniels' Houston-based agent, said Daniels will join the Wizards as soon as the moratorium on free-agent signings is lifted, which could be as soon as Friday, which the league has scheduled as the first day free agents can sign new contracts.

"The more we talked with Washington, we just felt very comfortable," Dutt said. "When Larry Hughes went to Cleveland, it just became a perfect fit for Antonio."

Losing Daniels is another hard blow to the Sonics as they have alreadylost their head coach Nate Mcmillan to Portland and center Jerome James to New York this offseason.

Anyone got some news about radmanovic ? wasn't he also free agent ?

Nevertheless you're absolutely right, mc millan, daniels and in some ways (in the playoffs at least) james, were part of the team success last year. what is tougher is that they lost key players withouut having a way to replace them. that hurts.

But allen got his $$, and soon he'll whine and get traded. stars do that now.
