just thought you guys may like to read this:

Folks with Swift, SAR, and Marshall under agreement at 5.1 mil why would anyone including Isiah give Walker more money than that and at the same time give up draft picks to make the C's and some team under the cap happy. The only question is whether Ainge brings Walker back or let's him go to the Knicks or Kings.

What does it matter if we sign him for $ 10 million a year or $ 2 million a year? It still doesn't change the fact that he has a big ego, demands a lot of minutes, takes bad shots, misses to many ft's , kills the fast breaks, hurts the ball movement, and can't finish around the basket.

There is a reason why teams past on Walker and went for SAR, Swift, and Marshall.

That's as it should be. All of those players are worth more than Antoine. Much more. This should be a real wake-up call to those on this board who routinely talk about Walker signing for the "bargain" price of $7-8 million/year. I mean, I've even seen some of that talk in this very thread, right after it was pointed out (correctly) by sully that nobody in their right mind would sign Walker for the MLE or above after better players signed for that amount.

I don't want Walker back at all. If Ainge is to bring him back, however, he had better not pay him as much as the MLE. That would be idiotic given the already determined "market."

Heard it all before, Celtics can thank Walker for turning them around last season. I also see he's getting alot of love on the Celtics boards, I'm not sure this is fair and balanced coverage...

You could probably find 3 people who don't like any player. This doesn't strike me as a representative sample of Celtic fans. It's probably people who were too young to remember him 2 or 3 years ago helping the team reach the conference finals or who don't even remember him turning their regular season around this year.

a walker playing under control would be tremendous. Issue don't lay in his skills which are highly above average, but how he uses them.
who needs a three points chucker PF nowadays who does not rebound ?

The rebounding won't be an issue. Walker's always been a very good rebounder. I agree that Walker is high risk, though.
