Larry Brown historically does not give playing time to young players--so how is he going to fit in in NY at this time when they are trying to develop young players?
And the reply is...a post that makes sense (still waiting)

i seem to remember prince playing ALOT of minutes AND starting for his two years there.

i also notice how darko is getting abused in summer league action - so maybe brown was right and this kid wasn't ready.

i think brown plays the best players and the ones that play hard. there wasn't one piston, or sixer, or pacer i could remember that just loafed around like tim did last year.

LB will not let you get any burn if you don't play defense !! That is how Prince got to play !! Besides Darko is a true SCRUB !!
Isiah Thomas will lead us back to the playoffs in 2006 !!!

Good.

That is EXACTLY what we need to do to get things going this coming season. I'm all for it.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

This is not correct. Larry did play the rookies & young players.

INDIANA
94/95 - Travis Best (rookie) 9.7 min
95/96 - Eric Dampier (rookie) 14.6 min
96/97 - Austin Croshere (rookie)9.3 min

PHILLY
98/99 - Larru Hughes (rookie) - 19.8 min
01/02 - Samuel Dalembert (rookie) - 5.2 min

DETROIT
03/04 - Prince (2nd yr) 32.9 min
04/05 - Carlos Delfino (rookie) 15.3 min (until his knee injury/surgery)

He doesn't use guys who doesn't play BB "the right way".

What are you talking about?? This is primarly a young team with Allan and jyd being the oldest. His options are limeted at best.

As oak proved it, LB does not fear to play youngsters. Thing is you have to pass the ball and play d like no tomorrow.

I loved to see him benching star players when they didn"t guard their man. He would bring us the defensive intensity we were badly missing, and since we have a nice athletic team, there is no reason we could'nt do it now.

Im sure Larry will play the best players and the ones willing to play strong defense. If you dont, sink on the bench. I love that. All these guys need a kick in the butt and I know that LB will be able to bring the defenders inside most of our players. Marbury finally playing D! I can't wait!

People need to learn their NBA history.

This it total bs, on ESPN's part and everybody else.

Larry Brown used to be bashed for only playin his young guys after he molded them, Iverson was 22 when he came in, etc.

The clipper team he took to the playoffs had a bunch of young guys I would imagine.

Just stop with the nonsense already!
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?
