We under estimate our own team ! Where were the Sixers when he took over ? We have more talent on our squad now then the Sixers did when they made the finals !
Isiah Thomas will lead us back to the playoffs in 2006 !!!

Pistons Reach Settlement With Brown, Free To Coach Another Club
19th July, 2005 - 7:38 pm

ESPN - Larry Brown and the Pistons reached a settlement on the final three years of his contract, Pistons spokesman Matt Dobek said Tuesday.

The team didn't want the Hall of Fame coach back and had offered a payoff, Brown's agent, Joe Glass, said Tuesday.

Brown is now free to coach another team next season, Dobek said. He declined to provide other details.

I just want to hear that he argrees to sign with us... Knowing he's free to coach elsewhere this coming season, Isiah is in Larry's ear the moment the paperwork clears.

Come on, Isiah! Make it happen!!!
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

We won 33 games last year, losing many close games. We got some major talent upgrades this year filling in some glaring weaknesses. Between the new talent and winning a few more close game we should definitely improve by at least 8 games. That puts us at 41 wins. Bring in Larry Brown--tack on another 5-10. What more do you want next year?

getting Brown would be great. Even if he bolts after a couple years like Hubie did he could establish a style of play and mentality here... two things sorely needed. He's a great teacher. Some guys have rotted on the bench, and thats a concern with our young players but you have to live with it. He likes to trade more than Isiah does.

He's got a house in the Hamptons, and he from this area... cant tell me thats not a HUGE factor.

No. In getting a coach like Larry Brown you allow him to hire whoever makes him comfortable to do the job he needs to do.
