He sounds very available. He likes the bright lights. He demands and commands respect. Lets get him.

I would take him but can Isiah and Riley co-exist?

available?

how did you come to THAT conclusion???
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

He's only thinking about coaching again because he has Shaq & Wade to win another championship in Miami. Highly doubt he would come back to New York with the current roster.

Riley? LOL gotta be kidding!
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Exactly, stan took rileys roster , after a 1-9 start to the playoffs. Riley is a flame out if he doesn't have a ready made roster, his days of motivating have fallen on deaf ears. But who knows, The chances of him coming here, are about as good as EWING becoming his top assistant.

Riley has an executive position in Miami, why would he leave that to coach?

2 things.

1- we cant get riley as he got all he needs where he is. Only probable available guy in miami is van gundy
2- IT and riley would coexist as well as gaz and fire. They both need the whole freaking spotlight which also explains why jax coming in ny was always a dream.
3- he left us when the situation was not glamorous anymore and we had very tough years after that. I wouldn't like to see him coming back though i still have a lot of respect for his coaching

AS the old saying say, there are 3 kind of people in this world, those who can count and those who cannot.

Riles left for money and power. Arinson gave him the keys. He still got the keys, and is saying all the right things.

Van gundy has done a great job in Miami, they only fell short because of injuries! Shaq broke down, and wade got hurt. If wade stayed together, they go to the finals!

Cause he likes to coach more than he likes being an executive.

Riles gets 6 mil a year and I thought owns a piece of the team!

Why coach a team in early stages in transition like the knicks when he can effectively continue to massage his team in Miami!

I think its smart to never say never, as has Isiah, but riles would be an ass to dump van gundy now!

Hey sil !

I guess it's darker than that.
Riles loves success, fame, and to be the guy.
His ego couldn't bear to see lil stan hobbitt bring a championship to miami when he failed to.

I think that's the reason why he gonna coach again. He's got good chances to win, stan won't be unlucky every year. What a nightmare for riles if stan won next year... :>

man, i was in jamaica, queens shopping and in the store, over the PA, they had the radio going and they said riley just FAXED in his resignation to the knicks. at that point, i was like WTF?!?! he's an AWESOME coach and resurrected this franchise, but left on such a sour note...with that said, he's not coming back here. makes absolutely ZERO sense.
