Everyone knew he was a project, every report said so, its interesting though that they said publicly that they are dissappointed.

NBA GM's never learn do they. What better way to develop a project then to bash him to the media? Morons, absolute morons. Same way we ruined any chance Weiss ever had here. At leat don't tell the world your 1st round center project sucks, maybe you would still be able to trade him. But no, we must act like its not our fault we drafted him when he was not good enough or not ready enough.

This is pathetic, this knee jerking after draftin projects by managers who suddenly realize that a project is really a project and will take 3 years to develop is so dumb.

I think in general there's been an incredible amount of overreaction to players after a few summer league games. This crap about BOgut not being any good. Man the jumping the gun is at a ridiculous level.

I agree. Summer League should not be taken seriously. I mean you have more guys dominating SL that will never sign a contact with a team. Personally I think there should be an age restriction on SL. You have 18 years old playing against 30 years old trying to make a team. If a team is curious about a "veteran" player being able to make their team hell they should have them go against members of their own team at their training camp. I mean come on guys like Bruno shouldn't be able to participate. That's what training camp is for.

yeah I never understood why people were going nuts after that 1 clip of him dunking. I still don't think he's 7ft 260. maybe 6-10/6-11 240(pushing it)

here we go again with "I don't think he is 7' 270", dude he is listed the same everywhere.

Is there some world wide FIBA and NBA and every other web site dedicated to basketball conspiracy to list Petro incorrectly so poor little basketball fans are tricked into liking him as a prospect or something lol.

I don't think what was said was unfair. The guy basically just said he has a lot to learn, and said some specifics on how he needs to develop. But I didn't really interpret it as bashing.

He needs to get that stuff internal. Talk to your player and his translator about that. People are so quick to distance themselves. I guess he didn't want to get a bad rep so he put it all on Petro's shoulders. That's a great sign. When the press start going after Frye, Aguire pointed out hey I need to work with him but he will be fine don't worry.

The Sonics are just concerned because Petro is having trouble grasping basic fundamentals. There is no conspiracy against him, he’s just horrible. It happens.

Funny tho, he's seemingly playing the me-know-no-no English game, when its convienient for him.
